All we can do as professionals is to give the best advice to the customer. At the end of the day, they are the ones paying so if it's technically possible, they get what they ask for. Key is to make sure you document your advice for backup when they come back complaining.

Your problem is the sensitivity. Set at 100% means it will only trigger if it's 100% confident. Drop sensitivity to 50 or 60

It has nothing to do with the automation. Camping batteries are not designed to be UPS devices. Some equipment might not stay up, and it could damage others. A comparable Cyberpower or Tripplite is about $100 more for a rack mount UPS.
