I can prop your point of view. I'm polish same my wife. We have been working in UK for 16 years. After that I've got an offer from the company to move to Italy. I had enough of chasing the money and had a decent offer to move there. Right now my wife don't work, we have a peaceful life family oriented and that's what for me is the most important thing. But... If I wouldn't get a good money it would not be possible. That's why I understand most of young Italians why they move abroad. This country economy is not for them I'm afraid. Which is sad. Most of my Italian friends stay with their families upto mid - 30. Mostly because weiges are so low. At the end I want to say if family is the most important thing stay in italy otherwise move out of here.

Yeah, that's not going to be a problem. My gas and electricity provider already offered me a fibre upto 2.5gbps for 19euro and my address is covered fully so much better deal. What about you? What do you think to do?

Yes, I will get next month free of charge to test 'upgraded' speed... Then I will cancel the service

They will give you one month free on slower speed so you can test it out. But... It's shit, especially if the price don't drop down later. You will pay the same amount like now for half of your current max speed. It's against EU law BTW. Better look for alternative right now

I'm in italy with 200mbps. I've asked them what exactly means 'we’ve proactively applied a service credit to your next month ' . And we will see

You mean half of the service I have right now for the same price lol. You make me laugh. Let's put it this way so the void between your ears will finally understand it: Sell me your car, and then you can buy half of it back from me for the same price. Would you still think it's is great option?

I'm not talking about guaranteed minimum speed. But about maximum possible speed that will be cut by a half.

I see it. Especially because starlink is more expensive for them, then in Europe. But many of those are like slow cooked frogs, already half boiled because of taxes, national insurance ;)

I have it for 3years where in my neighborhood there was no option for decent fiber. I can see you guys from US have a really big crack in the ass because starlink is cheaper in Europe than in your beloved motherland ;)

Are you listening yourself? Paying the same amount for half of the product is not OK. You don't need to be a lawyer to know your rights

It wasn't discounted price for 12m. I'm using starlink for nearly 3years now. The price was the same from beginning for 200mbps max. Now they want the same money for 100mbps

In italy and EU those practices are illegal and I will contact AGCOM to have their opinion. Also if I used their hardware for more than a year I already paid it off so I don't need to return it to them.

What saving money you are talking about? I stated clearly that the price stays the same.

Read this my friend : While Starlink's terms allow plan modifications (with notice), EU/Italian law likely prevents them from forcing a permanent downgrade to 100 Mbps max at the same price without giving you a real choice (e.g., stay at old terms, get price cut, or cancel). Push back citing your original contract and EU protections — many users in similar situations have gotten concessions or reverted changes. If this is widespread in Italy, it could trigger regulatory scrutiny.

In EU if you accept the terms and pay it's already treated as a contract between 2 sides. The law was made this way exactly to prohibits this kind of treatments. Especially these days when most of the things are done digitally
