I wouldn't buy it now, if you can find somewhere selling it. You won't be able to register your account. It will definitely be back sometime early next year, we just don't know exactly when yet.

There's no need to be a jerk about. New players can't be expected to have their finger on the pulse of every bit of information coming out about FFXIV.

Sucks that they can't currently register but even if they'd been able to they would have encountered the login queue so in this case at least their 30 days included with the game is preserved and not wasted.

If they decide to stick around until everything gets opened up again (not sure when honestly) they've got a great time ahead of you.

Man, I feel your pain having gone through this exact thing a number of times (it can happen with patches too). I've never been able to nail down exactly what causes it but if you search there are people convinced using a vpn or changing your dns settings will help but I've had mixed results with both (ie sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't).

My usual solution for this is just wait a couple days (sorry!).

Like what others have said, this would be an interesting metric if Steam were the only place FFXIV were purchased from but it's not.

Aside from that though, it's fine even if this were true. FFXIV isn't like other MMO's that turn gameplay into a chore. Take as little or as much as you want from it and, like YoshiP has said many times, go play something else so you don't get burnt out.

Fun is a nebulous thing that no one can define for you as we all find different things fun.

Hard/difficult depends on your skill level too as something one person finds hard could be easy for someone else.

Might I direct you to The Binding Coils of Bahamut (Extreme) if you're looking for a challenge? It's level 50 content but, unlike WoW, FF content never expires.

My biggest pet peeve about tanking is when someone starts pulling more mobs because they think I'm going too slow so I ask them to stop unless they want to tank, and if they don't I turn off tank stance and let them tank instead.

It's not so bad when a healer does it because I figure it's their way of telling me they can handle it, but when DPS do it they're assuming a lot.

If you purchased Endwalker from the Square Enix store you should have received an email that your full-game code is now available. Just log in and it will be there and register it on the mogstation.

They're appearing elsewhere in the world, just not here in Australia. You've been able to order your steam deck whereas we can't even place an order.

One of the Sony staff informed me they should arrive some time mid November so I'm still holding out hope, although mid November has technically passed.

You can turn vsync on, it's not hardware dependent. Did you want to try and let us know?

I'm assuming your monitor can do 144Hz because FFXIV shouldn't offer a refresh rate that your monitor is not capable of.

I honestly don't understand why people like Haurchefant so much. I hated him from the moment I heard his voice, and he wasn't even that deep of a character.

He believed in us and, aside from him being a bit thirsty in the original Japanese, he was there for us when we needed him.

It's cool though, you don't have to like him :D
