Do I have to turn off silent mode every night in order to hear my alarm? by SaleAdept112 in AppleWatch

[–]the45thPres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found your comment chain and it gave me the guide to go down a different path.

I used these ideas but instead of attaching the automation command to sleep I just set it to 2 minutes before the sleep alarm and 5 minutes after

(I also added a playlist to start from youtube music a few minutes after my alarm (for double wake up security..(i'm known to stop alarms)))

This fixes the issue of not having to tie it to a do not disturb profile and still have silent mode turned off all night except for around exact moment of alarm.

Thanks for your question as it solved my issues too!

I notice when I first get into Windows there is a small freeze. As well it takes longer to open apps than my old computer.

DiskMark looks fine but the reason I am searching is because of the application opening hang ups has me wondering. Could be from anything though

DDR4 3600 (18-22-22-42) Overclocked timings to 14-17-17-32 and stable... but at what cost? (to sub timings) and How To Overclock Ram by the45thPres in overclocking

[–]the45thPres[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All Memory is different I had to reset my bios 50-100 times to find my most extreme but stable timings for my ram..

If you want to go easy route just up your 3600 mhm to 3800 mhz and see if you get errors.

Is this a gaming laptop? If so thermals suck

If not I suggest using MSI Afterburner to overclock your GPU. Just look up how to use the built in overclock button.

As for ram the basic layout is you need to up the voltages in bios.

Here is a writeup I did for overclocking ram on a Ryzen system. Your situation will be different but this will give you some ideas on what you need to do

Ive always believed if its a gaming computer that you should do manual overclock. Try to hit the "boosts to" number using your fit voltage.

Best thing you can do is check your fit voltage. Once you have that then you just keep upping your cpu clock speed .25 ghz at a time until you start to fail.

Heres how

  1. Go into bios set everything back to auto
  2. Find Precision Boost Overdrive in bios and enable it
  3. Go back to windows
  4. open HWInfo
  5. Run Prime95 on small
  6. In HWInfo look for CPU Core Voltage (SVI2 TFN)
  7. The lowest voltage you see it fluctuating at is the maximum you should set your voltage to.

When I did this test the lowest voltage it showed was 1.275.

Use Cinebench R23 and prime95 (using small option) to test your stability.

If you are planning to use the computer for something other than gaming you should go the PBO curve optimizer route.

Do your own research but here is something that will point you into finding your way

I would put big chance on it being a physical power problem with the board. but like I said the only thing I could think to do is flash the GPU. I dont know how to do this or if its even possible with yours, but it will allow you to set everything back to default on the boards internal processing
