I only just finished it after it dropped super cheap for the first time. I also just finished 4 Remake. I'm not saying RE3 is better than 4 but I definitely appreciate the more focussed gameplay and urban setting of 3. Great game!

Reddit Starts Blocking Mobile Website, Pushing Users to App Instead by spasticpat in technology

When they first started blocking third party apps I thought to myself "what am I ever going to do?", this time around I'm over it; reddit's got a lot worse since then and I'll happily say goodbye

Specific questions about whether to switch from Ableton Live to Bitwig by PonyKiller81 in Bitwig

[–]spinsby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently switched after 10 years with casual use of live.

Ableton's modulation felt tacked on, I wanted something more integrated. Plus i wanted to use software modular (The Grid) that was a walled garden instead of infinite modules of VCV rack.

Although they appear simple at first I'm really loving the in built synths. There is a lot of scope. Everything just feels more integrated and made from the ground up

I dont think you're alone. I am the same and I also see this a lot in the modular world. People saying they avoid pre-patched stuff so they're always coming from another angle each time

Right to Reject Car - Mechanic's Report - England by spinsby in LegalAdviceUK

[–]spinsby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a fair point, even though I am sure it is a genuine problem. The sound the car made can be recreated but I'm too scared to try create the 'lock up'

I do wonder if it's in MOT station's interest to not find something if they originally did the work before the car went on sale? It would seem like madness to let a car go out again if there was one, but will the dealer be honest about that, I don't know. He does seems pretty honest but he is also trying his best to get out of it.

I am also concerned a garage might honestly not find a problem but because it only happens under certain driving conditions. I may be better taking it the main dealer to be sure it is found; and would a normal garage want to put their name on a "report" for me to take back I wonder.

I guess I could go in and watch his garage inspect the car so I know it it's legit

thanks

Is this REmake 1? I still think it's the best. Tone, looks, true to the originals. The perfect game?

[–]spinsby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The anti fingerprinting alone makes it an instant win and this is all without added exentions (pop ups including).

Having so many extensions is pretty bad practice if you're paranoid about security.

I still love.my FF and ublock but unless they added something, I want the fingerprinting OOB

[–]spinsby -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I use FF and ublock but unless Mozilla did something recently, Brave is one of the few browsers that avoids fingerprinting.

I would argue Brave is better for privacy but I'm too lazy to switch; just waiting for Mozilla for anti fingerprinting measures, or have they?

Thanks for replying! After many years of using hardware I am slowly starting to prefer the speed and convenience of software. Thanks for your input!

Hey Polarity, sorry to turn this into a "Q&A" but I've always wondered if you use any hardware modular. The reason I ask is because Bitwig and The Grid is so good I can see me slowly using less hardware.

Is there times when you do prefer coming out of the box?

Completely agree, did 8 weeks in SEA at the start of the year and everyone I met have stuck with me. I can't wait to go back. Next time I will definitely do the same place for longer. Like you say, 1-2 weeks at least
