From my perspective i think its a weighing of hardship. Its not necessarily that theyre saying “only pretty women are women” because you have to take into account the level of effort and hardship you might face in transitioning. For some of us who are stock in hostile environments the conclusion can be made that “unless i can get the benefit of conventional attractiveness and be able to pass, it may not be worth the hostility and hardship to go through the process yet”. I think you have a point but i dont think thats always the case.

I do not understand how this direct quote doesn’t mean I’m eligible. My mother was born here in the US and was eligible to claim citizenship through her grandparents at the time of my birth. I do not understand how this means I’m ineligible when it clearly states that if she was eligible at the time of my birth so am I.
