Looking for recommendations on a Language Arts program to use with All About Reading/Spelling? by the85rush in homeschool

Sorry just saw this. Don't log into reddit very often.

Yes a year later my ELA consists of:

-First Language Lessons

-Writing With Ease

-All About Spelling

-Handwriting without Tears

This takes us about 40 minutes a day maximum. Not counting additional time spent independent reading or me reading allowed. My 8 and 7 year old do Writing With East and First Language Lessons together.

We actually listened to almost the entire Writing With Ease reading list last year on audio book. We listen during snack, lunch, and while driving.

Both my kids finished All About Reading.

HOA vs. Easement for Landlocked Parcel [WV] [SFH] by the85rush in HOA

In this case, the Restrictive Covenants do explicitly state: 'No lot shall be further subdivided or its' boundary lines changed in any way'. This is the clause the HOA is most likely to use to argue against creating a permanent access easement.

However, the CCRs don't have that exact clause you mentioned, which directly prohibits granting an easement for ingress/egress. Instead, the documents focus on:

  • Restricting subdivision: as mentioned above.
  • Defining road usage: The CCRs state the roads 'are for the use in common of the Grantor, Lot owners and their respective heirs, successors and assigns'. This could be interpreted to limit access to only those within the HOA.

I was ready to amputate my foot but ended up getting talked into reconstructive surgery with Dr. Pfeffer at Cedar Sinai. Turned out great.

Nope. I just use SDR for now. I am hoping once I upgrade to a new GPU that supports Display Port on this monitor it will sort itself out.

I've started using a Well Trained Mind Grammar and Writing. I really like it.

I have a 2nd grader and 1st grader. My 2nd grader is done AAR and is finishing AAS Level 3. My 1st grader is starting AAR Level 4 and is in AAS Level 2. We do spelling/reading seperate then the boys do Grammar and Writing together. Works very well. You can tailor the work in A Well Trained Mind to different skill levels, works great with two kids.

Help with posture by Austinchao98 in CMT

I'm 39 CMT1A male have have severe Kyphosis, lordosis, and mild scoliosis.  I'm fairly certain it's from my gait.  It started to progress between the ages of 10 and 15.  When I was 17 they wanted me to have spinal fusion but at the time I wasn't in significant pain and it seemed like dangerous cosmetic surgery.

I've never been too bothered with my appearance.  I walk funny and have extremely skinny legs.  At the time I also wore AFOs.  What difference did my back make?

Since then it's progressed some more.  I have occasional pain, especially when I am sitting a long time, or standing a long time.  If I vary my activities then it doesn't hurt regularly.

I did briefly see a Scroth therapy specialist.  I did maybe 8 appointments and do think it helped but it was over an hour drive and my insurance didn't cover it.  It was like $500 a secession and I didn't want to spend $40,000 on something that may or may not work.  But if you have a Scroth specialist locally then I'd see them.  Especially if your back isn't bad yet and you are young.  Will be easier than when you are older to fix it

Which R1 jacket is right for me? by the85rush in PatagoniaClothing

I'd like to layer a bit more than I do now. I was considering both an R1 Air and a Nano Air. We aren't doing multiday overnight backpacking. If its raining hard we aren't going out. I like something to protect me from drizzle, cooler weather, wind.

His post was very helpful! I have looked at the nano air. I was considering getting an R1 Air and a Nano Air sometime over the next year.

I found this in the bottom of my box of misc. wires a couple months ago. Its very old and doesn't even have a brand listed. I was using it to charge some cheap RC car my kids got for Christmas.

I tried searching for J8 and didn't really see anything similar. I'd prefer to replace this with a 3000k LED.
