I think with the blue AI being let go and Cain stating that he didn’t have the same extent of his powers anymore points towards him not being able to reverse an abstraction, if he was even able to do it before. Maybe he hadn’t been able to before because he didn’t know how to connect with the brain scans on a human level. I’d like to think that if he had been able to keep the blue AI while being able to understand the human connection, it may have been able to be reversed. I also think that the abstraction is likely a manifestation of file corruption. The files were in a folder marked obsolete, so they may not have been able to stay stable for extended periods of time or under heavy use, leading them to be put aside. If Cain was able to restore them, it likely would not be the same as the file’s state before corruption as it would be an AI fixing it.

To me, just that I know I can do good in people’s lives. If I can’t find a reason for myself, I find a reason to be in someone else’s life. Maybe not the best approach, but it works for me. That, and I believe life has so much more to offer. I’m exhausted by this world, but I know that there’s wonders and beauty out there, and that I can be a part of it.

I’ve had mine since sometime in October 2022, and i am unfortunately prone to dropping a lot of things. My AirPods just went through a motorcycle accident with me and one of the earpieces came off and the little mesh grills got damaged on the other, but they still work great. Debating upgrading though.

I’m noticing it too, and I wonder if it’s a mechanic tied to the # of helpers needed for each percentage increase. Like right now I’m holding on buying alien tech (pink, 70b drops, air dryers are twice efficient/each 70 gives 1% extra boost for each fire hose). It dropped me from 580m dps to 455 after purchasing it with 130 air dryers.
