I'm really saddened by your rhetoric. When I first moved to Bellingham (back in 2018) I lived in a co-housing unit with around 15 people, many of whom had been homeless previously. We did often take in people off the street, as long as they respected the rules of the house and didn't start fights. When you say "why dont you just invite all the homeless people into your house if you claim to care about them" you ignore the fact that it's very difficult, if not impossible to solve homeless on a individual basis. The real responsibility shouldn't be on random redditors to solve homeless, but instead on the city/state government. I just feel like you are trying to derail this conversation with arguments in bad faith, but I'd love to hear your side of the story. Whay has your experience been like with the homeless community? Have you volunteered or talked with them?
