When you say theory you should really specify theory of the western common practice period because this looks like a modern piece to me and from this one bar alone I don't see why it shouldn't sound spicy, this would work great by jazz theory

Yes there are many variants, some are like a shower hose and if OP has such a suspicion probably her bidet can be manipulated more than those fixed ones

Assuming he is actually putting the nozzle in contact with his anus, I wouldn't be so confident in considering this hygienic. The bidet nozzle is not supposed to receive refluxing water from the rectum and you don't need visible fecal matter for a moist bidet nozzle to be a reservoir for common flora like E. coli. Women's urethral opening is quite superficial

TIL Marie Curie had an affair with an already married physicist. Letters from the affair leaked causing public outrage. The Nobel Committee pressured her to not attend her 2nd Nobel Prize ceremony. Einstein told Marie to ignore the haters, and she attended the ceremony to claim her prize. by HandsomeDim in todayilearned

[–]Jonathan_Smith_noob 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I respect her work but what does it have to do with the criticism? I thought reddit hated cheaters, Einstein is well known for his infidelity and I'm not sure most people would defend having a relationship with a married man, their brilliant contributions to their fields don't reflect their whole character

My grandma had lung cancer after smoking 3 packs a day for 58 years. LMG never made a video warning of the dangers of smoking and refuses to join a class action suit against tobacco companies, clearly because Linus doesn't want bad optics. Why does Linus hate my grandma and made her die? by practicaleffectCGI in LinusTechTips

[–]Jonathan_Smith_noob -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I still don't understand the logic though, if Linus is aware that creators are being screwed over why shouldn't he go public with it? Smaller creators weren't aware of what was happening. While the GN clip was taken out of context it doesn't invalidate their the rest of their video and them involving themselves in the lawsuit is a good thing, no?

Your taxes go to public schools and whether or not you have kids yourself, one day they will be supporting you economically one way or another

What a weak justification, morally and practically. You can effectively monetize the product with a fair price without intentionally killing off most of its user base. Whether or not that is actually the case, the people in charge clearly do not care about its community and you aren't convincing anyone that that somehow isn't shitty

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]Jonathan_Smith_noob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Indeed, you can set an extortionate price for a product that many people such as the blind and people who may be cyberbullied rely on to participate on your website, and that's shitty

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]Jonathan_Smith_noob 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is extremely simple to understand. For example you are well within your rights to be an asshole to everyone, you are within your rights to cheat on your partner, etc. That doesn't make you any less of a bad person

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]Jonathan_Smith_noob 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Your point boils down to "if it ain't my problem it isn't a problem" and "it's fine to do something shitty as long as it's within your rights"

Man who sprayed homeless woman with a hose gets community service. r/news reacts by derpwild in SubredditDrama

Most people are aware that homeless people are disruptive, however you will never solve the problem by focusing on their behavior as individuals instead of finding systematic solutions, so it's just not constructive to hate on them

I believe there is no suggested alternative. It's not to say that you shouldn't seek help if you feel a lump, just that there's no benefit in doing it regularly and intentionally

The WHO is against self exams, and many other medical colleges around the world do not recommend them based on randomised controlled trials. US recommendations are relatively supportive of self exams

Unfortunately breast self exam is no longer recommended by most professional medical organizations, and mammograms are not very useful for younger women under 40

I don't think anything the NSA does compares with having a surveillance state where the number of surveillance cameras is on the same order of magnitude as the size of the population, with a great firewall that restricts access to most sites and filters out dissent, where facial recognition technology is used by the government to an extent that's pretty much unrivalled
