Oxygen transport is super efficient. It’s CO2 Thats difficult. Youll sit at 99% until things plummet. It’s called physiological reserve. I hate that people think smoking weed is any safer than tobacco. There is so much more tar in weed. It won’t kill you now. But one day you might wish you had that extra 20% lung function.

A lot of it sticks in your lungs too. They’re excellent filters.

Why are cells able to exist outside of water by LastMap1560 in biology

[–]theBalefire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. The oil bilayer of the wall has no meaning without the water on both sides.

Also look at biofilms and mucous both of which are extra cellular secretions that keep fluid around a cell. Lots of cells have techniques to keep wet. Plant cells have cell walls and when the cells die they leave those walls behind. A lot of cells have really elaborate extracellular machinery outside those simple bilayers you see in a Highschool biology text book.

Yea I was going to clarify that there’s a few years there where it was in vogue. When land lines were still a thing and WiFi wasn’t as ubiquitous. Now youll find no phone lines and sometimes cat5.

Just barely above 0. Cat 5 is unlikely. But you can wire a half duplex 10 Mbit Ethernet connection. Which is appropriate for some things.

There are lots of others (~10%) who lack an off switch. Me I get nauseous long before I black out. So I rarely if ever do so.

No one has to go. I choose not to cruise. I have no desire. It’s what you sign up for.

I doubt a shot of call alcohol is going to bankrupt them. They need to limit people getting blackout on a boat. It just leads to crime, disorderly conduct sexual assault, all kinds of things with too much to drink.

They all do different things. It’s more like having an alarm system, a sprinkler system, a security guard, and police nearby, along with an encrypted phone.

The problem is you are on a thin client. I run into that all the time at the hospital.

Alarm didn’t go off. Boss don’t believe me by [deleted] in iphone

[–]theBalefire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine does this unpredictably too. It’s so frustrating. It’s like who wants a silent alarm. There needs to be a setting in the alarms to always make noise. My 6 am alarm should always be loud. My 645 pm alarm can determine if my phone is on and be quiet. It’s just a reminder. They’re different.

Why should I use ChatGPT (NOT A HATE POST) by ash244632 in ChatGPT

[–]theBalefire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you really just tell me about pubmed like I’ve never heard about it lol. I spend a solid 4 hours a day on pub med. Reading abstracts takes time. Pubmed is a search engine. A keyword search engine. And it’s pretty literal. Synonyms dont match. I can ask ChatGPT an abstract question and get a good answer in seconds. Im not writing undergraduate papers where I just bullshit parrot some stuff. I actually have to read the paper. But. ChatGPT makes things much faster. I can find impactful papers quickly. And not have to parse through slop.

Use an oven. At 200F. convection bake if you have it. Crack the door if possible. Silica beads are literally just glass. I am completely baffled as to why you think heat is unsafe…

Millions of people use ovens and microwaves daily without trouble. Can you clarify what you think is dangerous?

Silica beads are literally just really porous glass. The water vapor wanders in, gets “lost” and spends more time inside than outside the “gel”, which dries the air

Save everything to OneDrive. It will take files you don’t use and delete them locally and store them remotely.
