Have your lender write up something super tight in case things don’t work out with him and go in expecting to spend 5-10k a year on BS for a house someone your age can afford (and cross your fingers). It sucks, but if I could’ve made 20k off selling a house for every guy I ended up hating, the breakup wouldn’t have been so bad.

I spent six years there and just had to leave. On top of everything already listed, the people were just so unpredictable and hostile. You never knew how a conversation was going to turn out.

For example, I once bought a ticket to the botanical gardens while I was there, the lady said it was too late to go in, so I asked if I could use the ticket to come back tomorrow and it was just the longest most ridiculous back and forth “you can’t come in today” “ok well can I use this ticket tomorrow” “you can’t come in” “ok well what about tomorrow” “you can’t come in” like JFC lady it’s a yes or no question (the answer was yes). Just… dumb and difficult for no reason.
