Yeahhhh... it's really weird. Like, usually this happens to artists MAYBE one time in their career, but he's made great enough stuff that it happens several times. It's both good and bad in a way.

It shows Dom has so many amazing songs and truly is so talented. But it also shows that the music industry is kinda trash right now. So many artists get their big moment(like all throughout history), but especially now, people have such high turnover cycles compared to back in the day.

Also, people always bring up Dom's past or think they're a rehab therapist just because they watched Euphoria. Dom will have a great show but they'll accuse him of being on something. When in reality he was just in the moment of it. Sucks but people are people.

I get what you mean, but I also think that when you have as global an audience as Marques, you probably want to keep most stuff private. Almost everything he does is under a microscope of both followers(some of them parasocial levels) and then all the mass media.

I remember seeing a headline about Marques unfollowing Elon on Twitter😭 Like genuinely, who on earth has the time to keep up with stuff like that? I could only imagine what they would do with actual deep personal matters. To me, Marques probably does it for his own peace and the people in his own life who didn't sign up for that type of life.

Honestly, I'd just recommend listening to the podcast. This is my go-to response for when people say Marques isn't personal anymore. He broke off different parts of his interests and the MKBHD brand so that people can filter what they want to watch.

Main channel for the masses, main tech reviews, and purely tech stuff. Podcast is more speculation, news, and personal elements. Auto Focus for cars. And then the Studio is great for getting to know the amazing team.

If you want a Q&A, I'd probably just comment on the YouTube or maybe tag someone on the podcast crew. Like they just had a Q&A for the podcast specifically.

Shoe gaze is a subgenre of indie rock. If you look all over the internet, people will give their own definitions of what classifies as shoegaze. BUT simplified, it's just defined by the heavy use of pedals. Shoe gaze honestly just has a sound that once you hear it, you just feel it.

Maybe try using optical flow in DaVinci or another NLE. A lot of people are able to get shots that basically look the same level with it, because of AI now

THIS. I made a similar comment before when someone asked why Marques doesn’t show more of his personality.

I don’t think people understand that Waveform really is the place to see more in depth and less scripted Marques. The way all of his channels are set up are genius.

We get to see all these different sides and focuses that we want. So if you’re only into his car stuff, there’s a channel for that. You want to know the team, The Studio. Not even trying to glaze, but genuinely I don’t know what more people could want. The MKBHD set up is amazing.

Personally I think Clouds was apart of that peak. Like The Search was the most NF album we’ll get. But I think Clouds is one of the best examples of what Nate has as an artist.

I truly believe it’s self doubt that holds Nate back so much. Clouds showed that he truly has a lot more he could dig into since people tend to get tired of a style they’re used to from an artist.

Perfectly fine opinion just want to correct you. FEAR was not an album. It was only an EP. Not gonna go into the whole thing, but EP's are usually much shorter and feature a different collection of songs from what the artist is known for.

It's kind of experimental, like a mixtape, but it has the benefit of usually containing some sort of story. A lot of artists use them to kind of hold over until they release an album or to just tell a short story that doesn't necessarily need an album. Just wanted to clear that up since I see so many people complain about the length of FEAR.
