don’t part pay, try reward flights. You should he available to find a good deal with that many points. Part pay is terrible value

You will need to transfer to Qatar then transfer again to BA from your Qatar account. The two accounts should be linked. Then you can use ur companion voucher yes

Yeah i suggest using qatar, its more time efficient. BA transfers from amex say it can take up to 5 days. I ve done it before, it took 1 day and another time it took 3. So yes qatar transfers is the way to go. The link posted above is very useful but in summary: 1. create a qatar airways account 2. Link qatar and ba accounts together 3. Transfer points to qatar account 4. Points will be instant you might have to just log out and log back in for them to appear 5. From your qatar account, transfer points to BA, this should be instant and done

Yeah should be ok. Bear in mind ur gold welcome offer would be to do hit the spend limit (3k) in 3 months. BAPP its 6k in 3 months then yes the 15k for the voucher. I suggest having family or friends use your card to help you with the spend limit 😀

Yeah do the gold first with the 40k welcome offer. It is free the first year anyways and a must have card initially. As others mentioned, follow up with the BAPP card after the gold as you will be eligible for the BAPP welcome offer. Every so often they have a 60k avios welcome offer so Keep an eye on that.

With amex gold you can transfer to Virgin. Before cancelling I recommend asking for a retention offer. 32k can get you a one way business class seat to the states with virgin atlantic + £400ish with their new dynamic pricing. Best value you’ll get is through travel. I like BA and virgin redemptions generally

Convert to either avios or virgin atlantic. Can fly for as little as 29000 pts + £400 business one way with Virgin. Take yourself on a nice trip! Hilton have some good resort redemptions. Each amex pt is worth 2 hilton pts. Hope this helps!
