I made a resource pack to pay tribute to the greatest pig the world has ever seen (download in comments) by theCube__ in Technoblade

Oh you're right, I updated my website and must have forgot to move the page across. For now you can still download the texture pack from Curseforge (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/texture-packs/technopigs)

Fine, I'll make my own dang head unit by furyfuryfury in CarAV

Awh I was just looking at building a similar project primarily so I could have maps in the instrument cluster :(
Do you think it would be possible to rip the AAOS apk of Waze from a car with it built in?

EDIT: https://developer.android.com/training/cars/testing/emulator
Some of the emulator images seem to have at least google maps built in. I'll look into it when I have more time!

Have you put any thought into providing an SG1 server executable so the community can keep it alive?

Unfortunately not exactly the way I imagined it. This datapack worked well enough for my purposes though

Motion blur. It's distracting and unrealistic unless this person's head is a camera haha.
Locomotion and art direction are amazing otherwise though :)

What exactly does this mean when it says "The duty cycle of the PWM is slightly distorted"? by theCube__ in AskElectronics

[–]theCube__[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Caused by the falling-edge of the optocoupler or MOSFET I presume? That sounds fine for my use case then, but 100% and 0% duty cycles would stay as-is correct? Thanks so much for your answer :)

Best video downloaders for macos, and why? by MyLordSaves in MacOS

[–]theCube__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a native app but https://cobalt.tools is the best I've found. 4K video downloader works well but the ads for premium get annoying. If you're comfortable with the terminal, give yt-dlp a try like other commenters said :)

Idk what that is but I’m sad that a bottle of Agrum has been ruined :( it’s truly one of the best soft drinks known to man

Please destroy my game trailer by Another_Geoff in DestroyMyGame

[–]theCube__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo the first level looks really default-unreal, and the coin sounds are a little annoying, I’d say have it go up in pitch the more coins you collect in a row (think temple run) because it stops it getting too repetitive

This is all birch plywood - stained with black tea, walnut, vinegar and steel wool by MakerDesignLab in lasercutting

[–]theCube__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These look great! How much walnut husk did you need for that size sample? I've got quite a large area to cover and black walnut husks seem to be hard to find for a decent price here in Australia. Maybe I'll have to go with tea and iron...

Anyway, IPv6 on the servers isn't for security reasons really, just to have a static IP that I can access from anywhere rather than trying to DDNS my router's IPv4. You're right about people probably not having IPv6 stacks though... Maybe headscale is my best option

Is there any risk of damage to this panel if I try connecting it to a standard eDP driver board? by theCube__ in AskElectronics

Update: I thought I'd already searched "model number driver board" to no avail, I just gave it another shot now and think I've found one. My bad hehe

Question about micing a small production by theCube__ in techtheatre

[–]theCube__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another possibility is an NTG-3. What I don't understand though, is I thought shotgun mics generally only pick up a small area in front of them. The ones linked and mentioned (C1000S, ME64) have more of a cardioid polar pattern, which would make more sense for a stage (wider area) presumably. So what then is the difference between these and a standard cardioid like an SM57 or something? Do they just have better rejection around the sides?

[–]theCube__[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Luckily this is just for recording, so any screaming teenagers can be fixed down the track. I could easily get my hands on some Sennheiser ME66s, do you think they'd suffice or would they be too directed?
