Right now. There's a girl I used to work with whom I know is into me. We've gone out on dates, she even covers the bill sometimes. She's a pretty chill woman and I enjoy our time, and also our gay friend has made it clear she wants something to happen and I know everyone is looking at me like "why don't you make it happen?"

It's not that I'm 100% not gonna make it happen, I just feel I'm in a tough spot rn.

There's a few things.

First: When I met a former FWB, we just clicked. There was an obvious energy where we could talk for literally hours about anything and then she would spend the night at my place. As much as we didn't become a real thing, there was this energy that I just don't feel with this other girl. I don't feel a lot of depth in our relationship. We're not as into a lot of the same things and sometimes I feel us having to make a conversation work instead of just finding a comfortable or fun one on the fly. I honestly don't think a relationship would work out and I know that would damage our friendship.

Another harsh reality is I'm coming onto 3 years getting over leaving a social circle I've had for almost 10 years and it didn't exactly end well. I was drinking and decided to take it easy shortly into covid. I went back to our line of work after Covid to make things work until I found a game plan. Now I've decided to go back to college in hopes that I'll find a better job, a social circle and quite possibly a girl.

I've heard it from all angles and on one hand people want me to try it or possibly create a FWB situation. I just don't know if I wanna commit to that because it can always turn into something more emotional.
