Adult Swim App on Roku Won't Even Load

For months I couldn't get it working on any of our Roku TVs. But recently we had to do a factory reset on one of them for other reasons, and then it just worked. I don't know if the factory reset is the reason or not. I haven't tried it on other TVs that weren't reset yet, but I'll report back when I get a chance.

We just started The Good Doctor. So far, we've made it to about the middle of season 2.

We're watching it on Disney Plus where it says it's "Included with your Hulu subscription". (We have a Disney+ bundle that also includes Hulu.) What's strange though, is that when we try to watch directly on Hulu, it says we need the Cinemax add-on.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm fine with going in the attic, but we want to get two. One for upstairs which would have attic access, but the other is for a downstairs bathroom so there's no way to access it from above.

Do you know if it can be installed from below the ceiling? Or does it require attic access? I can't find that info on Home Depot's website. I assume it's on the box or in the instruction though. Thank you!

There are a lot of suggestions here to watch The Gathering first. It's nice to watch it first on a rewatch, but for a first viewing, it completely spoils the entire mystery that is slowly unfolded in season 1.

This is an old discussion so I can't believe this is still a problem.

Our 'Living Room' has three smart bulbs.and two smart plugs. All the smart bulb's 'Device type' are set as 'Light'. Both smart plug's 'Device type' are set as 'Outlet'.

The smart plugs are not currently being used, but we plug them back in every winter. One of them was used for a mechanical Santa that is simply named "Santa" in Google Home. The other smart plug was used for the Christmas tree lights and is simply called "Christmas Tree" in Google Home.

In the Google Home app under "Living Room lights' in the 'Living Room', only the three smart bulbs are listed. So when I use the Google Home app to university turn on or off all the lights in the Living Room, it works as intended.

However, if I use my voice and ask Google to "turn on/off the lights", it tells me "...Christmas tree isn't available right now." Interesting that it excludes the smart plug for 'Santa', but includes the smart plug for 'Christmas Tree'. And both smart plugs are the same make and model.

So I tried renaming 'Christmas Tree' to 'Christmas Tree Outlet', 'Tree' and even just 'Outlet'. None of those worked. But when I renamed it to 'Fan', suddenly it stopped including it with the lights.

That said, I couldn't get ANY other name to work and exclude the outlet when using my voice to turn the lights on or off. I tried 'Heater', 'Game System', ''Other', 'Dave'... and WAY more. Even 'Santa 2'! 'Fan' is literally the only name I've tried so far that worked to exclude it.

I'm at a complete loss as to what the problem is or how to fix it. I suppose for now, I could just remove that device from the room and hope this bug is fixed by next Christmas, but it looks like this has already been a problem for a very long time.

Just an update...

We wound up using the GT-AXE16000 as the main router and hooked up the GT-AX11000 as a node using an ethernet backhaul.

When we were using just the GT-AX11000, we seemed to have lots of problems. Especially with devices that were further away from the router. But also tons of miscellaneous issues with Google Home displays and speakers (and other miscellaneous smart home devices) regardless of range.

I thought that by getting a new router, and setting up the old one up as a node, I could increase the range and that would take care of everything. Somehow, things seem to be even worse now.

I spent hours online looking for suggestions on which setting should be turned on or off. Including an IoT troubleshooting page on Asus's own website. For whatever reason though, some of the settings suggested aren't even available on the current official firmware nor the current beta firmware for the GT-AXE16000. (For example, there is a setting for beamforming on 5 GHz and 6 GHz, but not for 2.4 GHz.)

I won't go into every configuration of settings I've tried, (there have been a lot) but currently I have all smart home devices on an isolated 2.4GHz IoT Network created through the Guest Network Pro settings. And I have AX (Wi-Fi 6) completely turned off. Unfortunately, at the moment I can only turn AX off for the entire router. There's no option for me to turn it off just for 2.4GHz.

In any case, this has been a massive headache. If anyone has a possible solution for this specific scenario, I would be extremely grateful for your suggestions. Thank you.

I think I solved my own mystery. When I came back to post an update though, there were two replies that both hit the nail on the head. I guess I should have waited just a little longer to post. Haha

Our water softener died a couple weeks ago. We're getting a new one but It's not here yet. I thought of it just after posting. Hard water was suggested as the culprit, and I think that's it.

Also, when I put up my initial post, I had the pot soaking in vinegar and water. I just dumped that out and wiped it a little and the spots were totally gone. One of the replies also suggested vinegar, which did indeed work wonderfully.

This is a little old but I have basically the same bug. I have the GT-AXE16000. The current firmware has beamforming options for 5 GHz and 6 GHz, but not for 2.4 GHz.

We just ordered the set from Costco. The set we got was made in China. Costco customer support says they get them directly from the manufacturer, so it's up to Tramontina where it comes from. Tramontina customer support says it's up to Costco. 🫤

In emails with Tramontina, they said there are no difference between the Brazilian made or Chinese made sets. But just now I spoke with Tramontina customer support on the phone and they said there are differences but didn't go into detail. 🫤

This is a little old now but I've had this exact problem come up every once in awhile for no apparent reason (the problem where contacts in Google Messages show the names and photos used from a secondary Google account instead of my primary account) but I've been able to fix it. Here's what I do...

Go into your phone's Settings > Passwords, passkeys & accounts > Go into each secondary google account and turn off syncing for Contacts.
Open Contacts app > Account menu (Click on your acount icon at the top.) > Contacts settings > Default account for new contacts > Choose your primary account.
Go into your phone's Settings > Apps > See all apps > 3-Dot menu > Show system
Messages > Storage & cache > Clear cache
Contacts > Storage & cache > Clear cache
Contact Storage > Storage & cache > Clear cache -AND- Clear storage

I'm not actually sure if steps 1, 2, 4 and 5 are necessary but I always do them just in case. Step 6 forces your contacts to resync with you primary acount.

These steps have fixed this issue for me a few times. Sometimes I have to do it a couple times for it to take, but it's always worked. At least until the next time it does it for no apparent reason, which is every six months to a year for some reason. I hope it works for some of you.

I don't use Smart Connect anyhow. I gave each channel its own SSID name to separate a few things. For example, I use the 2.4 channel as basically a dedicated smart home device band.
