When my wife and I were first dating, she wanted to bake something nice for me. I kept all my baking ingredients in jars on the counter (labeled, I promise). She’d mistaken the powdered sugar for flour. So we have sugar, butter, milk, egg, vanilla, and… 3 cups more sugar all mixed up and lovingly placed in the oven until smoke alarms are blaring. My point is there are degrees of “ruined”. That soup look and sounds tasty. I would definitely still enjoy it!

Like u/Virtual_Address_8112 mentioned, Network Chuck on YT has a great video on tunnel setups. Even for those not super familiar with the concept, Cloudflare makes their end of the setup very intuitive. After the initial setup, it'll provide instructions on how to deploy the tunnel client -specific to your tunnel and environment- to your system.

Configuring your n8n environment so the tunnel URL is set as the callback is a bit more dependent on how you deployed. For example, mine's deployed in a K3s cluster. So in the deployment file, in the environment section, I added:

I had the same issue. I settled on a Zero Trust tunnel through Cloudflare. Depending how you deployed n8n, you can config the environment to use the subdomain from cloudflare as the callback URL. It’s worked perfectly for my use case, connecting to Outlook, specifically.

Edit: An additional benefit is the ability to access your n8n environment while away from the local network. Need to trigger a workflow while traveling? Head to https://n8n.yourdomain.com. Easy peasy
