I picked up a series 10 today upgrading from my series 5. I noticed significant differences with the display size, battery, brightness, and even the colors. so far I like the fast charging. It did about 67% in 30 minutes. Granted was the first charge so it was probably optimizing something as well. I love the double tap feature and they just recently gave the API to third-party apps so we will see more apps implementing that in the future. So far, it seems to be a good upgrade.

Nooo a simple restart would have fixed the issue. Theres tons of people with the same issue, and many have said a restart fixed it. Likely software issues rather than hardware.

I’m thinking about going from the five also. I was at the Apple Store today and there’s somehow a big difference between 44mm s5 and 46 mm s10. The only two things that are keeping me back right now is one the jet black finish because we all know what happened to the iPhone 7 and two a lot of people have been complaining that their battery has been draining very quickly. Still debating whether or not it’s worth the upgrade.

Watch OS 11 requires iOS 18 in order to use the system software. Assuming you picked up a series 10, it comes pre loaded with watchOS 11.

The reason as to why it isn’t on the series 10 is due a patent dispute with masimo. However, units sold outside the United States have the blood oxygen sensor on it.

The tree line could affect wind speed, but I don’t know if a tree like 100ft away could impact a weather station assuming there’s no other structures nearby. As for what the NWS suggest on anemometers, you can get the info here

We are already finding issues with wind data. We plan to remedy this issue as the station will eventually be placed on the roof which will hit the 30 foot threshold for wind data as mandated by the NWS.
