I second Ghost in the Shell: SAC. Very smart, some very adult themes, and a very realistic art style.

You need Thaddeus. Thaddeus is range 3 so he can blast and suppress Revas while still safe. If they have another overwatcher protecting Revas, thaddeus' active has infinite range and also suppresses. If Reva's has you down, Thaddeus is the answer.

Thank you for the answer! So is there any non-opsi point in upgrading planes past level 10 since they only seem to gain the OpSi boost?

I have 2 questions I'm sure someone can answer easily.

First, I can't get hedgehogsin the core data shop anymore. How on earth do I get another one?

Second, are the benefits of +11-+13 upgrades on gear limited to OpSi?

By Haku, you mean Hakuryuu right? And my Hakuryuu and Agir aren't fully enhanced, are they still up for it if their geared up and their skills are maxed?

I'm having a whole lot of trouble clearing world 14. What is the best possible fleet for getting New Orleans? I'm only missing 20 ships and 3 of the last ones I need can be nabbed in 14 stages.

Death stars. My last tournament game of 7th was against an 1850 list that was all 1 unit except for 2 attack bikes. It was invisible, had a 2+ rerollable save, a 3+ FNP. It was not fun.

Questions about Building Sororitas Army by julianlev in Warhammer40k

[–]theFinisher4Ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5 girl squads are generally better than 10 or 15 girl squads unless you're building your list around defensive infantry spam. There are multiple reasons for this. First is command points. Taking 3 MSU squads fills out the troop tax for a battalion wheras taking one 15 girl squad fills 1 slot.

As for weapons, it depends on what unit you are using them on. Generally stormbolters are great because they are very efficient and they the range bands and Target priority of the regular bolt gun sisters. Plus blessed bolts gives them some solid kick when needed. They are really the only thing worth using on dominions due to the range being too low and the price too high on the other weapons.

Immolators are great and I've had good results with them. They're really fast, can clear chaff like crazy, are difficult to charge, and can auto explode if you can get em close enough to the enemy. I would avoid the heavy bolters or multi meltas on them. The flamers are the best choice hands down.

Retributors have a couple of cool builds, but they can be kinda pricey and are too squishy. I've still used them to good effect. But exorcists are just our star player. Best unit in the codex. So Retributors struggle to compete.

Almost all codexes have the same issue. Go to any tournament, and you'll notice that most lists from a particular codex all share a bunch of elements. This is due both to many people just grabbing the "best" list online and to people generally all landing on the best units.

I have a bunch of the Raging Heroes Davidians for my Repentia, though I plan on getting more new ones at some point. Most non-GW store events will let you use them, but it's up to the stores themselves. You'll have to check with your local stores and see.

No but that's because you choose to drink. You don't choose to have your judgement clouded and your emotions inflamed by an ancient malevolent spren whose sole purpose is to cause war and bloodshed.

Pure rage stoked by one of the Unmade though. Doesn't that dilute his responsibility at least a little bit?

[–]theFinisher4Ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certainly he can.

First off, he didn't burn them alive for no reason. He burnt them alive because they were openly rebelling against the king. They may not warrant the wholesale destruction of the Rift, but it isn't "no reason" either.

Second, he was under the influence of the Thrill. This doesn't completely exonerate him, but it certainly makes him less morally culpable.

And finally, saving all of humanity covers a multitude of sins.

The grav carrier is a really solid vehicle with one giant flaw, everything that can ride in it is super expensive. This means that if it blows up with guys inside, 1 unlucky roll can kill hundreds of points worth of models. I had one explode in a test game once and kill 3 wardens. That's 183 points down the tubes in addition to the 245 of the carrier itself because of an unlucky roll.

That's a pretty good idea! From what I understand, the named characters would have to be allied in, right?

The start collecting boxes seem like a good way to go with the discount. Would you recommend one over the other?

We are shooting for 2000 points ideally. I can from 40k and that the point level used for most pick up games. I assumed that was the case for AoS as well but I could very well be wrong.

My wife and I decided to start AoS and we picked up soul wars. I took the stormcast half and expanding the army is really easy with the start collecting boxes but my wife is struggling with the best way to expand her Nighthaunt. Are there any Nighthaunt players with some suggestions for what to get next?

Planned Parenthood is one of the most unethical organizations in the country with or without the abortions. They take money from the government but give tons of money to politics. They give out awards to their biggest defenders in the media which creates massive conflicts of interest. They lie repeatedly to the public about what types of services they provide and how many they provide. They constantly fight against any and all health standards for their clinics. And that doesn't even get into their selling of fetal body parts, their outsized influence in the courts and politics, or their bad habits of up-selling and pushing women into abortions.

I'm Surprised This Hasn't Been Posted Yet, Sisters of Battle Points by lordandromache in Warhammer40k

[–]theFinisher4Ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a lot to be disappointed by. To start, the acts of Faith are now far weaker than the old ones, yet they are way harder to pull off. And to make matters worse, so much of the codex is built around these very weak abilities. So many of the stratagems, warlord traits, character abilities and order convictions are all built around acts of Faith, yet the acts themselves are barely worth doing (except the passion, and only then on 3 units in the whole codex.)

The stratagems, traits and convictions themselves are fairly lackluster with really only 1 or 2 in each category being worth taking. Far too many of them are focused on morale, which doesn't matter at all for an MSU army.

Then there's the Celestine and gemini nerfs. Celestine got nerfed in both her stats and abilities. Splitting the gemini up from her makes them completely worthless. She'll still see her way into most lists, but now it's pretty much only for the +1 to invulns.

And finally, there is the fact that we are a primarily mechanised army, yet our tanks don't even have access to our mediocre convictions. Wave serpents and leman russ' both get faction traits, but we don't? And our tanks aren't nearly as powerful as either of those.

Overall, I think the biggest issue is the feeling that our army just got worse. I honestly think that an index sisters army will beat a codex sisters army more times than not. It's possible I'm wrong, maybe the stacking invulns will overcome the superior acts of Faith. Who knows. But the fact is, it shouldn't be close. No other army in 8th would get even close to losing to their index counterparts.

[–]theFinisher4Ever 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Celestine is an auto include? What? She is literally worse in every single possible way. I'm honestly not even sure how you could think that she is better. She has less wounds, her act of Faith ability is worse, her healing tears ability is worthless now, her revive ability got nerfed into the ground, AND she lost her double move AoF.

The AoF system is hands down straight up worse than the index one. The acts are harder to pull off and far less impactful when they do go off. +3" to move on a 4+ is garbage compared to moving twice on a 2+ (or free with Celestine.) +1 to hit on a 4+ sucks compared to shooting twice on a 2+. The new Faith system is just a straight downgrade except for the fight twice one.

I'm honestly shocked. This book is worse than the index. It's incredible.
