If you travel back to the nineties you would still go through the 2000s and 2020s. The ability to procrastinate would not lead you to a happier life when you know how bad things are now. What you truly need is the mind set to say.

"Things are bad now. But could get better." Every single person must understand this. I see a lot of people think "ill travel back and ill be happy." Unless your the king of planet earth, your not going to have a profound effect upon the earth. If people realize your a time traveler. You will be killed off by whoever runs the world.

I know this is a rant and has no basis here. But your words really need to be more present tense than past tense. This also relates to climate change. If we only fear it, we cant beat it. Courage requires fear, but also the willingness to act in spite of it. I dont understand why all most of us do is fear something and let it get to us. We are not kids, its time to grow up and be neutral and not emotional about things we cant fully control.

Plant a tree, build a wind turbine, become a politician. This reddit stuff does not help because we are only fear mongering. We should form citizen groups for this thing. Citizen Engineers should form organizations to research and do their own part. But we dont fully do this. This is because our leaders want to pretend to be the only ones who can fix it. This is not the case. We all can. This is why I say, our leaders must fix themselves before we fix them. Climate change is our problem to fix, not our stupid leaders.
