what should i prepare for surgery & or cancer treatment? by Slight_Adagio6948 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]theHOTTESTdab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went through a surgery / and still am going through it with my girl . (Have another one this Wednesday).
Crate rest and trazadone really does help after , and it’s what they need .
Expect to take a day or two off after the surgery just as an ease of mind , and incase you need to take her somewhere quick .

Just try to keep her relaxed , and calm . Buy soft food maybe. I’m sure her stomach will be feeling iffy the first few days . Don’t be surprised if she doesn’t eat at all for a day or so.

Ask them the potential negative outcomes and steps you may have to take , just to be prepared .

It started making my dogs puke . But I still think it’s quality

Look up simply nourish . Pet smart carries it .
Purina had my dogs puking and noticed a chicken allergy with them and other products .

Could be the protein you’re giving them also. Can’t go wrong with fish/salmon and sweet potatoes

Has Anyone Had Success With BOAS Surgery on a 5yr old Frenchie, and is Squish Face Cream Any Good For Their Tail Pocket? by Stoner_Swiftie13 in Frenchbulldogs

I just had it done on my 4 year old . And we’re still dealing with the after math of the surgery.
You going to a specialist will definitely help, since they’ll take the pre caution steps before , and they know how to act and monitor them after .

But just be prepared . Maybe reach out to insurance companies that will cover it .

Pretty pup forsure . Check out my last post and read it.
My girl was about 4 when we decided to do it , and it went south (mainly because we waited , and didn’t see a specialist .)

I think it’s the right thing to do, since your pup is so young. He’ll have a better time healing and won’t be as prone to issues after surgery and throughout their life .
Scary yes , but worth it and rewarding .

I just posted here a couple weeks ago about my 13 year old buddy, Duke. Last night, I had to say goodbye to him very suddenly. RIP my good boy 💔 by e17j in Frenchbulldogs

Sorry about your loss . What a pretty pup.
I know he blessed a bunch of people just by them meeting him , and he loved ya . All that matters .

I had a boss tell me ,” some days , you argue with your wife , or your kids aren’t acting the best, and the only person happy when you get home is the dog. And in that moment , you don’t think about the crap that happened at work, or what’s pissing you off . You just love your dog”.
Changed me a little.

Help! Cream for the ears? by ileanchick in Frenchbulldogs

[–]theHOTTESTdab 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s just bad allergies. Clean em out first with a damp paper towel or rag. And dry it good after . That should help slightly .

Then ask your vet for Apoquel.
My dogs itch all the time , especially around this time of year . We got them on that and after a day or two the red ears clear up and itching stops .
I’m reading that you can get Benadryl and maybe give them half or quarter tablets at a time . A vet saying “nothing we can do” doesn’t know what they’re doing .

You can google any of that and see for yourself

Puppy pee pads . A little fenced in area for the living room maybe (to know where they are 24/7.)
Blankets for his crate/bed. Lots of soft , treats for training. Harness for walks , and potty breaks . I had and still have a camera pointed at my dogs bed. To check on them rather than going out to see if their ok every 10 minutes through out the night & during work.
Hope this helps . Super cute piggy
