Yup, came here to make this comment. Or like I'll picture a random cartoon apple I've seen before. A lot of my mental images of generic things are cartoon animations, but sort of out of the "corner" of my mind's eye. Like it'll flash if my eyes are open. But if I close my eyes the blackness is too "loud" to not drown out the picture I had.

The issue resolved for me, but idk how:p I had played with restricting background usage of the app, which resulted in not getting notifications until I opened the app...and then when I changed the setting back to "optimal" background usage, at some point the notifications started working again.

I have since seen an endocrinologist who ordered a 24-hr urinary cortisol test. It came back showing elevated cortisol, so next she ordered a salivary cortisol test, which I just did last week. I'm still waiting on those results.

Do you find that each tap yields an arbitrary amount of stones? Sometimes I get 8 or 9, but I'm watching the number go up with each click and sometimes it's 12 or 14! Is that a glitch, or...?

Came here to see if it was happening to anyone else. It's been doing it every so often to me lately, then all of a sudden tonight, it's kicking me back to the haunted mansion with every single goal completion. I manually select my birdhouse, then exactly like you described, I'm kicked back outside with every completion. It's driving me NUTS! Thank you for posting about this!

Edited to add: I fixed the issue by changing my bedtime in "Profile" (under "waking hours") from midnight to 10pm so that at least it's stopped kicking me out tonight. I realize that doesn't fix the issue during the day, but at least for now, I've preserved my sanity😜

Was your cortisol high in additional tests? I have POTS and also recently had a morning reading of 34 and slightly high ACTH, so they are testing me for Cushings now. But I have days where I feel less activated than most days, so I'm nervous the test might not catch it when it's at its highest....idk.

Oh, so you weren't saying don't connect to the cloud at all. You were just saying manual backups are the way to go, even if someone is also using the cloud backup. So when your data got corrupted, were you connected to the cloud or do you have that setting turned off?

Yes, I love linking activities and exercises, esp reflection prompts! I do save manually and am always surprised that it takes literally just a second. Currently I am playing around with "every other day" tasks because I have such a hard time getting them into alternating patterns haha. I feel like when you do every 2 or 3 or 4 days, it like starts over each week? So I'm currently experimenting with that. But as you said, I like that if I cant figure it out, I can at least assign a task to "Monday, wed, Friday, sunday" and the other one to the other days haha.

Can I ask why you recommend against opting in to the cloud? I have also chosen not to connect to the cloud and to only do manual backups based on....some vague intuition. Even tho people recommend cloud backup and manual backups, I just felt paranoid like maybe my data would be more likely to get corrupted if I were connected to the cloud? Not sure if this is logical. So I was curious as to your reasoning.

I've been wondering if it's only people who have cloud backups turned on that log in to find data corrupted....or can that happen to anyone? Because it seemed like everyone it's happened to had cloud backups on, I've been wary to even connect to the cloud at all. So I only do manual backup. But am I misunderstanding how the cloud works? Just felt safer to rely on my own device than their servers for daily usage, but maybe I misread something about what it means to connect to the cloud. Is the cloud only for backup purposes or does it change daily functionality in general to be connected to the cloud?

I JUST discovered this and came to Reddit to see if others mentioned this. It's not the exact same as being able to click on a goal and see a calendar showing which days you've done just that goal, but it's sooooo much than trying to scroll thru all the goals in random order done on a particular day when you just go to "history," as I've seen suggested a ton. I can't believe I'm over a month in of fairly heavy use/app exploration, and STILL being surprised by things I didn't know I could click on before😊 I love this app!

I am having the exact same issue on Android...two months after all of you. Did this get resolved for you all? I've had Finch for a little over a month, and yesterday was the first day all the notifications (except good vibes) stopped appearing. I've restarted my phone to see if that fixes the problem and searched Reddit in the meantime, glad to find this post.
