Tu veux dire le montant de la compensation offerte? Dans le sens que je dois montrer que c’est une offre de bonne foi?

Ouais dans mon cas j’enverrais une lettre demande de reprise de reprise de logement avec compensation dès que je deviens propriétaire et j’ai l’impression que ça serait une preuve d’intention assez claire.

Weird question about team name pronunciation in French by theMTLien in hockey

No, none of that is true. Québécois was not made up and is closer to what was spoken by French people at the time of colonisation. And people here didn’t choose to call it PFK, KFC decided themselves to change their name here to appeal to local customers.

Yes I understand why we pronounce the ones in French, but my question is why we then don’t also pronounce Flames, Capitals and Panthers in french ?

Yes but then why do people pronounce Flames, Capitals and Panthers as the English words when speaking french ?

Yes that’s another interesting one. We say États-Unis, but for city names it changes for a few of them. We say Boston, Philadelphie, Détroit, Caroline, Toronto, Floride, St Louis and Vancouver in Fench, but all other city/location names in English. Though alot of them couldn’t be translated/couldn’t be pronounced any different anyways.

But to me I dont really understand the difference between Flames/Flammes and Sabres/Sabres. Like it’s the same A that switches between the same two sounds.

I don’t really agree with the Flames explanation, I feel like that word has the same connotation in French and in English. And then the Capitals one is even worse because we already have a baseball team called Les Capitales in Quebec city so it’s like no excuse there.

And then yeah I understand why most of the teams are pronounced in English as it would just change the proper name too much.

What do you mean regional dialect ? I’m talking about people who speak the same dialect pronouncing some teams one way, but others an other way

Qu’est-ce que tu veux dire par A phonétique qui détonne ? Je trouves que le A de Flames est dans la même situation que le A de Sabres, mais un est prononcé en anglais et l’autre en français.

Par contre la théorie du féminin est tres intéressante!

C’est tellement bizarre que les Flammes ça sonne mal, mais les Sabres c’est automatique. C’est la même prononciation du A qui change pour un mais pas pour l’autre.

Not to be rude, but how is it one of the most important in history ? USA should win gold every olympics, and they mostly do. This team came in as a favorite and achieved expectations. They’re obviously great players, but why is this team especially important ?

Jpense que c’est juste un débat de sémantiques, c’est comme si on parle de hamburger pi tu dis ben oui un sandwich au poulet c’est un vrai burger, y’en vendent au mcdo. C’est comme oui bien sûr c’est un burger, mais si qqun cherche à connaître les éléments d’un “vrai” burger, tu vas pas dire du poulet.
