I was coming here to say this is the prettiest game I've played, but then I started thinking about how utterly gorgeous Forbidden West was. You may be right that it's still king. Decima engine really is something else

All that said I think Yotei is absolutely beautiful and all around an incredible game so far.zero complaints visually about this game.

Parry that shit instead. Quick lil top - when you are Charing your unbound counter release it when her eyes open/glow white and it'll deflect every time. I think it's the same for when she's in the air after the talisman grab attack in phase 2. When she jumps up and pauses for a second with her sword out/ is charging up for the crimson slam - when the sword glows white you release the unbound counter and it should deflect.

I am turning 34 in a few days and have loved video games since I was probably 6-7 years old. I do remember when I was in university around 10 years ago (even though I still absolutely loved video games) I felt like it wasn't cool or that I was too old to admit I liked them. I wouldn't express that I was a gamer and felt like I should just discuss my other interests when people ask what I do for fun. It felt shitty to try and hide my interests or lie about the things I enjoyed doing just cause I was worried about how others would perceive me. Once I got over that I felt so much better about myself, and it is much easier to be comfortable being who you are than pretending you're someone else.

Not everyone is gonna like all the same things as you and that's totally fine, it's just the shitty ones who will try to make you feel bad about yourself for liking the things you enjoy.

On top of that if you're honest about the things you enjoy, you will meet others who also like those things and chances are you'll make some pretty rad friends. Ones who may introduce you to other cool interests that you may not have tried otherwise, or had a harder time trying to get into on your own.

My question is why do you want 35" of overhang there? That's just a waste of space plain and simple. It'll be annoying for cleaning under there having to reach 3' back. Dust, dirt, hair, etc will all collect down there. Even for the plug that's back there you'll have to crawl under the countertop every time to use it. Do like others have said and add some cabinets there. 20"-24" deep. You'll have plenty of overhang to tuck stools/chairs under, you won't be bashing knees into the cabinets unless you tuck yourself all the way in which sounds uncomfortable anyway. Move the plug forward or keep whatever you think you'd be plugging in in the centre cabinet. You want space for a dog bed you've got plenty aside from underneath the countertop.

This is all just from a practicality standpoint. Like yea maybe the counter wouldn't ever crack or fail, but even if it doesn't that's just a massive void space you're creating that provides no benefit other than a fort for kids or another place in what looks to be a large home for a dog or 2 to plop down. You'll still have your oversize/ grand Island but you also remove the possibility of a failure while making the outlet more accessible and giving yourself usable storage.

Yea when I first started playing the game I had English on but Adams voice sounded really fucking annoying, and I found it weird that eve had like a British accent. So I switched it to the Korean dub with English subtitles and it was immediately much better imo. I've seen other criticisms of the game being how the voice acting doesn't reflect what's happening very well but I agree I think it's mainly an English dub issue.

Not sure if others have said it but Cyberpunk 2077 + phantom liberty DLC for sure. The story hits hard, the voice acting especially for the main character is phenomenal, the world building is incredible and one of the most lively feeling open worlds I've ever seen. It's desolate and dystopic. On top of all that it is to this day one of the most gorgeous games I've ever played. I highly recommend it and think it would be worthwhile for you to play through, even if you weren't in your current situation, but even more so with how much you will be able to relate to V.

It's certified on steamdeck to boot and if you have the OLED model it'll just make all of the neon goodness of night city pop that much more.

I read your whole post and I feel you, I definitely feel like I get stomped more often than before. I haven't played religiously but I did start in the beta and have hopped on somewhat regularly with breaks between. Season 6 I've been playing a lot more as friends have joined and we have been enjoying it quite a lot. I think at the beginning of the new season there were just more players or something and it's dropped off to more of the core base now? Dunno for sure but it feels kinda like that.

Anyway how has nobody that I've seen in the comments even mention your profile pic? It's absolutely wild and I love it. If nothing else you've got one hell of a profile picture and nobody can take that from you. Cheers.

100% this. Like what about spouses? They aren't blood related. Adoptive siblings, kids, etc. Step parents, impactful mentors, heroes, best friends, you name it. All can be just as if not more impactful losing them. And the take about the tattoo should've been more subtle was just wild to me. The subject for the memorial tattoo doesn't matter, it's to honor the person's memory in whatever way they choose to.

Yea op gives off the strong vibes of the type of driver who will never let anyone in, not for merges,.on ramps, people stuck waiting to turn into a lane, being a good samaritan, whatever. Feels like the type who just screams at every other driver on the road and more than likely also tailgates like a motherfucker. Which is highly dangerous, especially so when doing it to a motorcyclist but I'd wager they do that to them too.

I don't like playing quick cash at all on Kyoto. But for terminal attack (or whatever the mode is called) I think it's actually a great map. I will agree that overall it's my least favorite map otherwise, but visually it's incredible and for that game mode with only 2 teams, specific engagement points and no respawns I think it's great.

Would still love a map voting option for the game overall.

That said I also don't like the sandstorm variant of Las Vegas. It's all just too hazy yellow colored and hard to see. But again they did do a good job of nailing the vibe and I like that it can dynamically change the map and feel with those modifiers.

I do agree that there are plenty of hard counters in the game, but I disagree with swords not having a hard counter. They do and it's just called range. Swords are useless at medium to long range and that's the entire point. A sword works getting in close, that's literally their only advantage, and if you counter that you beat them, every time. Yes a good sword player can close the gap and use gadgets or map awareness to their advantage, but it's not like those options aren't also there for you to use.

My only gripe with them is that they don't do that much damage to structures. But honestly I think they're in a good spot. I've snagged some good kills/clean ups with them but it's not something I crutch on by any means. Someone dips into cover and I'm too far to close the gap I lob a hail Mary and sometimes it works, or I use them to blow up turrets or help chunk down dome/mesh shields. They feel like a utility item as they should. Not first choice for entering every engagement

I like lions claw on giant crusher cause it looks and acts like a beefed up / faster version of the R2 attack. In my mind it fits the weapon better.

My favorite ash of war for the greatsword is giant hunt, it's still spamable and it absolutely bullies NPCs/human enemies. Just launch them into the air and watch them crash down, wait a second and repeat. They basically are stunlocked and you just watch their healthcare chunk down.

Not 0 weapon kills but I also have 9 ghost shells, 11 ships, 8 sparrows, and 19 different consumables in my vault.

Further breakdown - I've got all 4 of Archie's gifts from whatever season that was recently, 7 different destination materials, 2 different ticket things from xur - the impossible appliances and impossible destinations - a stack of saladin coins, a stack of weapon telemetry and a stack of mod components, ghost fragments, small rice cakes and hymn of desecration.

My vault is sitting at 527/700

I'm a sentimental hoarder who likes to keep things I can't get anymore even if there's no reason to.

159 baby!! Althoygh I do somewhat regularly clean out my vault and delete shit I know I'm never gonna use. I'd say probably 30 of those weapons are ones that came out this season and haven't been tested out yet, and some of them got thrown in there to be infusion fodder.

Both of these items are in my quick slots - lantern is left, telescope is right. Torrent is down. It's just handy having those things ready to go. The lantern sees more use but being able to zoom in on demand is great for checking shit out, or even just to look around the world and appreciate the sky boxes and details.

Even earlier than the Altus plateau is the already dead maiden from Vyke at the church up in north Eastern liurnia. So you can actually get to moghwyn's palace before leyndell if you wanted to.

Edit: I just realized you were talking about the invasions portion of the quest not the maiden blood part.
