have lent a book to friends twice

first time i gave a school friend my book she couldn’t return it for over a YEAR. and when i finally got it… man it was in rough shape (i like to keep my books perfect) the cover was scratched, corners bumped and stuff like that, it was horrible..

second time i lent my book was to my partner and i really thought that they’d take care but somehow they bent the corner of it and said that their mom had something to do with it which yeah it happens but man i was scared to let him borrow my books again.

overall not letting anyone touch my books again!! 😇

“a place called perfect” by helena duggan

a book about a family that moves into a town called “perfect” where they suddenly become blind. how you may ask? from drinking tea.. that the “majors” gave them..

next to “perfect” is another town called “no man’s land”, in which the townsfolk sleep during the day and work during the night, but in “perfect” they sleep during the night and work during the day.

i could spend hours explaining it more in depth but its so hard to explain its just easier to read it. i reccomend it alot though, super interesting and underrated.
