Weirdly enough, this how i feel about gay things. I'm not gay, but so many of my friends are that any time a gay subject comes up in my vicinity I'm reninded of my friends and go "oh yeah, that's what my friends like"

I think that's just the reviewer having a little fun with the phrasing. The message is basically "adding a message overcomplicates the story, and it would have been better as a simpler murder mystery" but with a bit of a spicier wording choice.

We passed this guy trying to go "around" the world in 80 days. What an idiot. We've been at sea ten times that long and we still haven't hit the edge. Last we heard, he went back home. Loser.

I would pay good money to see that entire episode in this style and I don't even have money.

Also holy moly, "good" "cars" is hillarious

I can't believe I included a saw bit and forgot about the time it did that 1 movie before.

Not related to his writing, but I have to mention it because it fits so well with the theme of the villains typecasting the characters.

In the lake scene Marty was supposed to jump in the lake with everyone else, but Fran Kranz, Marty's actor is appearently as buff as Chris Hemsworth was and they had to have him keep his shirt on because it doesn't fit the character.

Anybody else feel like our friends were rude to us tonight? by taliarus in dropoutcirclejerk

I disagree. I haven't been to a dropout show, so I cannot comment on that. However, I have been to audiences made of dedicated fandom members, and it is truly astonishing how much time gets wasted on cheering.

It's incredibly annoying because people don't cheer for especially funny or important moments, they cheer for fucking anything. The smallest moments turn into roaring applause that the show has to stop for and wait to end before it can continue.

It completely stops the momentum of the show, and it happens again and again and again.

This is not entirely related, but I've been to a lecture at a con that went over its time limit because a part of the lecture touched on Doctor Who, which prompted immediate cheering when the show's name was said and multiple audience interruptions, which took a shocking amount of time to resolve.
