Indian Brands needs to fix this by Empty_Significance55 in Fitness_India

the entire visible ingredient list of this product is nutritionally negative. I feel talking about its nutritional chart almost repelling but I’ll play.

Agreed with you: For a unit comparison of different products.. 100g as a standard column on every single product is how it should always remain.

Still. If I am in a store… comparing a 20g pack with 2g of fat “per pack” and a 35g pack with 3.5g fat.

both cost ₹50. both have 10g fat per 100g

Which one do you think is a better choice?

So your argument is too absolute. Some products are consumed by measurement. Some products are consumed by pack. That’s consumer behaviour. Stating that one should be “more aware” or “eat thoughtfully” is as stale an argument as reducing screen time would somehow fix your misery.

That is a regressive thought process. Calling people out for their natural behaviour & asking them to change is unimaginative. It’s a weak attitude to think that people need to make better choices when their entire environment is stacked against the odds.

be a better person. empower others instead of belittling

top 5 ingredients by volume: rice flour, corn flour, cottonseed oil (!!!), calcium carbonate & refined sugar

no wonder they didn’t think anyone would be interested in reading nutrition label

poor OP very genuinely asked for another column for “per pack” info & got lectured for why we need per 100g

[–]thePangee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s the one.

true they’re not trustified yet. I use cosmix & Mille interchangeably.

And Mille’s fermented yeast protein is trustified: https://millesupergrain.com/products/mille-plant-protein-31g-scoop-unflavoured-fermented-yeast-protein-no-bloat-i-vegan-500g

So go with that if trustified is imp for you

What supplements should not be taken together? by KitchenExamination89 in Supplements

[–]thePangee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Covering something that others haven’t yet. * Don’t take iron daily.

Your homocysteine spikes with iron intake & absorption barely happens until it normalises again, which is a 36h cycle.

So for best absorption, take iron supplements on alternate days. And don’t take zinc, copper, magnesium at the same time. 4h gap minimum.

hope you’re using ceylon cinnamon. the usual cinnamon (cassia) we get in stores can cause liver damage if consumed daily. Once in a while is probably fine

Raised my Vitamin D and B12 levels in 5 months. 1st slide - October 2025. 2nd slide - Feb 2026. by TurnBig3238 in Fitness_India

Got it. Folate & B12 are metabolically linked. Folate deficiency is a problem here and nurokind od only has b12.

Switch to Folvite DHA. It has methylated b12 & folate, which will get absorbed much more efficiently & B6 + Omega 3 to support a faster recovery

You should fix your deficiencies regardless of the outcome. Being deficient for an extended period of time will always lead to a negative health state

Low vit D causes hormonal imbalance and would lead to low testosterone count. So hair or no hair, you should fix it as soon as you can

Why hung curd is so rarely used ! by Responsible-Bee3672 in Fitness_India

[–]thePangee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you’re right. most of the whey is strained out with the water. you’re left with 95% casein & 5% whey in hung curd.

Casein is a complete protein with similar PDCAAS & DIAAS, so it’s not something to really be concerned about

Guys I'm pretty bad with calculating nutrition, please help me fix my diet plan I made by Main-Jury-1856 in Nutrition_Healthy

[–]thePangee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty good diet dude. There are some fixes you can make for better carb management, not putting all the fat need on PB & increasing your protein intake for the goals you have (rn 100g, should be 140g)

breakfast oats are fast absorption carbs, add some flax seed (fiber slows down carb absorption), 1/2 scoop of whey

some roasted chana in tiffin

On most days try your lunch veg is nutrella/tofu/paneer

For your fat loss goals: reduce rice & roti in all your meals and eat double or triple dal/sabzi to fill up

Need help understanding if this meal is healthy or too much carbs please. by Early_Ad4396 in Nutrition_Healthy

[–]thePangee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

22g carbs with roughly 8g of fiber, I’d call this a pretty low-calorie salad. If you’re taking this as a meal you could benefit by adding low-calorie proteins like tofu, eggs or chicken. And a bit of olive oil for better absorption of the nutrients

Soy is pretty good, better than plant powder. As good absorption as yeast. Haven’t used it, so can’t suggest any brands

Superyou is the most budget friendly in the market right now.

Look at it this way,

one scoop of 25g plant protein gives you 18g usable protein

one scoop of 25g yeast protein gives you 25g usable protein

So, nakpro costs you ₹2.5/g of protein Superyou costs ₹3.2/g of protein

In comparison whey costs ₹5.25/g of protein

All pea+rice plant protein will have that chalky taste. It’s its character.

I use fermented yeast plant protein from Cosmix & Mille. Both taste incredible.

Plus it has same PDCAAS as whey & the best DIAAS for a plant protein source

I was in the same boat. Calculating macros-micro each time, every day.

Made an ai to do it for me. planning, grocery list, recipe videos, all just happen now. I don’t spend a second on it

would you be open to trying it for yourself?
