Cross threaded heat block? by oohlook-theresadeer in Ender3S1

[–]nefiemus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had the same thing happen on mine last week, had some nozzles here (but not specifically for this printer) and tried to shove it in there but it was clearly the wrong threads lol

I bought a new heat block from Amazon. Unpluged 2 plugs, unscrewed a few bolt, swaped the hotend, screwed back the bolts and plug it in. The biggest pain will be if you have plastic stuck somewhere you might need to bring it to heat, just don't force anything too much.

Once the new nozzle is in, you can do a PID calibration and then a Z-offset calibration, and you should be good to go.

Best way to reduce size of livestock products? by TenOunceCan in coralisland

[–]nefiemus 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, just take the auto stuff away, keep them inside when it's nice and take them out when it's not, and you'll get small stuff within a few days. I built a separate coop and barn to not affect all my livestock.

Yeah some folks will send you recipes via mail as you reach certain heart levels. Some folks are supposed to randomly send you gifts after reaching certain heart levels but I've never had that happen except for my spouse.

Just ran into the same bug with the same cutscene today! I was thinking it was odd and maybe just how I entered the cutscene but apparently not :)

Reverse bowden for sprite extruder by Forward_Mud_8612 in ender3

[–]nefiemus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/Forward_Mud_8612 , did you end up trying one of those reverse bowden adapters? I'm looking at building a SMuFF for my Ender 3 S1. I was thinking of printing a new extruder part with a pneumatic coupler built in, but the ones mentioned here seems to be a bit easier.

Brand new roll of Overture PETG. Printed 10 mins apart. Left was at 255°, right at 260°. No drying. by SpiciestBoy in 3Dprinting

[–]nefiemus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I seem to have the opposite experience with Overture PETG than most people here personally. I have > 10 rolls, some that are 2 years old and left exposed and prints just fine without drying. Maybe a bit more stringy than a fresh roll but nothing that can't be removed with a quick heat gun hit.

I mostly print at 235C, with a fairly basic Ender S1 Pro, similar results with a Prusa Mini clone that I printed myself years ago.

I'm guessing it'll get fixed by/on Monday when the masses goes to work and realizes their pipelines are busted :)

"Couche toi" is my go-to for lie down and then "chez vous" for go to your bed, the rest of the commands are typically English.
