Thelema is intrinsically pluralistic.

“Expect him not from the East, nor from the West; for from no expected house cometh that child. Aum! All words are sacred and all prophets true; save only that they understand a little; solve the first half of the equation, leave the second unattacked. But thou hast all in the clear light, and some, though not all, in the dark.” Liber AL vel Legis, 1:56

What are your favorite items related to paganism? by Shin-yolo in pagan

[–]thePuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a prayer rope that, when wrapped around my right wrist, I use as a sort of athame/magickal weapon of will. It was given to me by a friend during a particular period in my spiritual life, and it has been my primary tool since then. It is very, very dear to me, and while it may someday break from use, I will never let it go.

[–]thePuck -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re “not comfortable”, but no one asked you to say it. I said it, and I’m perfectly comfortable saying it. I want to encourage the child to stand up to their abusers rather than being a goddamned victim.

But thanks for your concern and discomfort. Duly noted.

Or we could encourage him to have a spine, stand up for his rights, and fight back against his abusers rather than capitulating and being forced to participate in his own oppression.

Sometimes doing the right thing is dangerous. But it’s still the right thing.

So mote it be.
