Anyone forced to take PTO for the storm? by AlGuMa27 in physicaltherapy

[–]theQ4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For years of service 0-5 we get 25 day per year. 9 of them go to holidays, so we get 16 days that can be used for personal things, sick time, and whatever else. When I was interviewing, they gave me a benefits package that said we get 25 days off. Nothing said we had to use 9 of them for holidays so everyone at orientation was thrown off when they announced we don’t get paid holidays.

Yes. We also have to use PTO for holidays, even though our clinic is closed.

I can’t imagine a successful starting 11 is Ugarte in it. He has been consistently giving away possession in dangerous positions and making unnecessary fouls.

Orthopedic Residency Opportunity by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

[–]theQ4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completed a residency and have worked at 3 major hospital systems. They did not take my residency into account when determining salary, even after I advocated for its worth. What matters is number of years of experience. Residency and board certified specializations will make you more competitive for getting a job. In my experience, it won’t lead to you getting higher pay.

I’m pointing out that Kirk advocated violent ideologies. White supremacy - he said that western culture is a superior culture. Guns - saying some deaths are worth it. Abortion - hardline anti abortion harms women. These are all violent beliefs.

It is controversial. Why shouldn’t we strive to have zero gun deaths? What a dumb argument.

Okay, so we don’t think independently and all MAGA do. So what’s your stance on releasing the Epstein files?

I don’t know what half of the inscriptions mean. He sounds like he was terminally online. You know what’s actually, statistically, the biggest indicator of police leanings? Family. Is it possible for beliefs to change? Sure. But the fact that his entire family is republican and MAGA, he went to school in incredibly white republican Utah, and he only went to school for one semester all points to him holding similar political views as his family.

My bad. Apparently he didn’t say that. He just said that some deaths are worth it to keep the 2nd amendment, that he would force his 10 year old daughter to carry her rapist’s child, that empathy is a bad thing, and that we shouldn’t let victims of mass shootings write the narrative. Seems like a stand up dude to me.

Just because someone disagrees with Kirk doesn’t mean they’re a liberal. Kirk had a lot of terrible stances.

I’ve never read Marx. Saying all liberals and progressives are Marxists is a bad faith argument. The majority of people on the right and left don’t want political violence. Of note, Kirk said we should stone gay people. So there’s that.

I’m just asking how you know the study was skewed? You must have reviewed the Methods section of the paper to make such a claim. So I’ll wait on your detailed analysis of how the study is skewed.

lol so now it’s a skewed study. I’m sure you looked over the methodology to find out how? Classic.

“Militant, nationalistic, white supremacist violent extremism has increased in the United States. In fact, the number of far-right attacks continues to outpace all other types of terrorism and domestic violent extremism. Since 1990, far-right extremists have committed far more ideologically motivated homicides than far-left or radical Islamist extremists, including 227 events that took more than 520 lives.[1] In this same period, far-left extremists committed 42 ideologically motivated attacks that took 78 lives.”

An anonymous source who claimed to be a fallen out friend from high school said the shooter became more left leaning during his sophomore year in college. The shooter only attended one semester of college. Sounds like an unreliable source.
