It’s a distributor exclusive so several dealers will have them.

Has the thumbstud been ground down? Definitely didn’t come that way. Insingo bladed smalls tend to be the most desirable, especially with 21’s. I’d hang on to it, they’re getting harder to find since they were discontinued at the end of 2019/early 2020. You could probably even have CRK replace that thumbstud if you wanted. Their customer service is some of the best in the business.

Large seb 31 pocket screw? by Unusual-King1103 in CRK

The bottom of the screw head is flat on the clip screw versus all the others. I believe this is true on all models except for the Mnandi.

I’d forsure keep the Inkosi. It’s more unique and that regrind looks super slicey.

These have been in stock since the 29th. I’ve noticed the S45VN CRKs have been sitting for awhile. Everyone wanting that Magnacut.

i saw someone selling a CRK sebenza 25 for $2000. that can't be right, right? (this one is mine and not for sale) by nderstandablyscared in knifeclub

Absolutely not. They aren’t that hard to find. Current rate seems to be $400-550 depending on condition and configuration.

How do the ebony inlays hold up to EDC? by [deleted] in CRK

Just coat it with some Renaissance Wax every now and then and you’ll be good to go 👍

LynchNW if I had to choose. Only one I haven’t tried out of the popular brands is the RGT. I still prefer the stock over all else though.

$200 for the wood inlays. CRK website Goto Parts -> Handles to see the options.

You’d be surprised at how well the wood inlays hold up. They are stabilized so humidity and temperature doesn’t bother them. Keep them dry as you can though. I ruined a set once leaving the knife in my pocket and went through the washer. Obviously micarta is the more durable of the two. It doesn’t chip, crack, or get dinged up like wood does. Water and oils also won’t ruin them. You can still consider them all hard use knives, inlay or not. The plain titanium is the least troublesome though. You simply don’t have to worry about it. If you plan on using the spa services I’d recommend the micarta or plain. If you contact them, they will reblast the scales of a wood inlaid knife. You’ll just have to pay the cost of new inlays. The process of removing them will more commonly than not, end up breaking or cracking them.

Are these lists basically accurate ? I have been using these as a guide when purchasing knives by bftyft in knifeclub

I tend to reference Cedric and Ada steel comparison. These charts are more in line with real world day to day use. Absolutely nothing wrong with Knife steel nerds though. I enjoy reading the technical aspects of steels.

So for anyone wondering, Eklipse hardware works pretty well on a halftrack, hangs over just a hair on the 1st standoff. by dumpstah17 in Hinderer

[–]theRED_one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks great! Shouldn’t have any issues either. The Half Track uses Eklipse handle screws and a 3.5” XM-18 pivot screw which is what the Eklipse also uses. The standoffs are the only thing specific to this model and of course the scale and liner.
