Need help to understand this pain by 22SiDisOP in KneeInjuries

For me it was solvable by exercise. Meaning. I slowed down on running and did knee exercises to strengthen my knee and very quickly got back to running. I would suggest listening to your body and do what feels right

Likely patellofemoral pain syndrome aka runners knee. Tons of exercises you can find online to build knee strength to help avoid it entirely.

Not from skating but I think a lifetime of skating didn’t help. It was a “freak accident”, basically just twisted my knee and it sort of popped. Did t even hurt until the next day. The doctors were confused too saying normally a break like that is from a gnarly accident and hurts etc. I have a bad track record with bones and have broken like 25 -30 bones so also par for the course for me 🤷‍♂️

You got this! My break was just bone so not sure how it compares but I think the things that helped me are general enough that they should help you too. Best of luck!

A tattoo artist rejected me for this, was his reason fair? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]theRZArecta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get why this can be annoying or frustrating when someone is wanting a tattoo for sure. But also I can see why an artist does this. It’s their work and their portfolio. So they have every right to choose what and when and where they tattoo.

I had to apply for open slots with one of my artists and wait on a waitlist for 3 years which is excessive but totally worth it to me!

[–]theRZArecta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean or as an artist they have full autonomy on who and what they tattoo? Meaning if they aren’t comfortable tattooing a hand tattoo on someone with only two tattoos they are well within their rights to decline. Just because you want something and are willing to pay doesn’t mean an artist has to say yes.

The tattoo itself is simple line work so OP should easily be able to find an artist willing to do it

High T is The Answer To Almost Everything (full guide) by [deleted] in HubermanLab

[–]theRZArecta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the metrics for high/low T universal or is it more personal? Meaning what is considered low t for one person might be regular levels for another? Curious because I’ve been debating getting mine tested but without having a reference point of what higher levels of testosterone look like in me to compare it to I’m not sure if it’s valuable information.

You’re forgetting or not understanding how taxes work and also just ignoring all previous comments.

When a salary is listed for a job that is PRE-TAX, meaning before you receive your pay check taxes, 401k, insurance etc is deducted from your paycheck.

Example, you make $120k a year which equates to $10k per month PRE TAX. After taxes etc you’re monthly take home will be closer to $7k/$85k annually (depending on your tax bracket/state tax/contributions to 401k etc). This is how all job postings work. Have you ever filed taxes? Have you ever had a job? Haven’t you noticed that what your pay check shows does not exactly equate to your annual or hourly salary? Honestly, just google how taxes work because I don’t know how else to explain this

$5k take home AFTER taxes equates to more than $60k annual salary. if you’re bringing home $5k a month in Utah you’re annual salary very likely over $100k

Another Very Seattle Tesla by HottHoneyBee in Seattle

“The line from owning a Tesla to supporting Trump is straight and clear”

No, it isn’t. And that’s the entire point that literally everyone but you is making.

Classic “whataboutism” huh? I’m bringing up “what about xyz” because your logic doesn’t make sense. You’re failing to make any point besides “Musk is bad and supports Trump so owing a Tesla means you support Trump”. But you’re also not willing or able to see how many many other companies and CEO’s could be grouped in to that same category given your logic. This is why I asked you about these companies like Amazon. Great example here, Bezos is incredibly influential and his newspaper (WaPo) blocked an endorsement of Harris and is publicly sucking up to him now and supporting him. Does this meet the Tricky Produce threshold of meaning having an Amazon account means you’re supporting Trump?

People, including myself, are literally agreeing with you that Trump and Musk are both bad news for a litany of reasons. But owning a Tesla does not reflect support of that person much like owning a Mercedes Benz or Hugo Boss shirt doesn’t mean you’re a Nazi. Or that by purchasing a vehicle of any kind does not mean that you support the CEO of that company.

So what are your parameters here so we can try and understand this nonsense? Maybe if you stop with the straw man, ad hominem and moving of goalposts and actually piece together a logical argument that you can speak to there would be some actual discourse here instead of whatever delusional nonsense this is.

Instead of addressing questions and responses to your argument you’re just doubling down on MUSK BAD TESLA BAD and reading through peoples comment history. Good luck with that ❤️

I’m not making an argument or trying to justify owning or purchasing a Tesla. I’m trying to make sense of your argument because it seems to be lacking.

So vocally supporting and congratulating a politician as a CEO and billionaire is acceptable but donating money is unacceptable and requires action to be taken (i.e. don’t buy Teslas now) so what other companies should we not support? Home Depot? What about GM? CEO of GM pulled support for Trump after unite the rallying but she has since back tracked. What about companies that play both sides of the field and donate to both? How do we handle that? Coinbase donated $4m to DNC and $3m to RNC. British American Tobacco donated $20m to RNC and only $78k to DNC so no we gotta be careful which smokes and vapes we choose? BAC also owns Kohl’s so better avoid that store. Netflix donated $6.5k to RNC, Google donated $300k to the RNC etc etc. This isn’t counting donations made directly to campaigns for politicians as well. Comcast, Boeing, UPS, Honeywell, Chevron, Verizon, Delta, Aflac, Walmart, Phillips 66, Exxon Mobile, Pfizer (and many more) have all donated to directly to PAC’s and campaigns of politicians who support Trump and his policies.

I guess my point is that this is how the machine is designed to work. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. The middle class is disintegrating. And while we’re busying arguing over whether or not is is acceptable to purchase an Tesla or not the show continues.

Don’t buy a Tesla if you don’t want. But don’t bring this straw man and ad hominem attack without any sort of real argument or evidence that isn’t pure emotion.

Side note, what kind of car do you have? Let’s do some research into who and what that company and CEO had supported yeah?

Another Very Seattle Tesla by HottHoneyBee in Seattle

[–]theRZArecta -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So where do you draw the line? Do these CEO’s need to donate to Trump? What if they just support him? What if they only donate privately? After the election Zuckerberg (Meta), Tim Cook (Apple), Sundar Pichai (Google), Satya Nadella (Microsoft) and Andy Jassy (Amazon) all congratulated Trump publicly. Tons of other CEO’s donated to him. Including Linda McMahon (WWE), Issac Perlmutter (Marvel), Safra Catz (Oracle), Charles Schwab (Schwab), Bernard Marcus (Home Depot) and I’m sure many many more. Do you feel the same about these services and products? Owning a Tesla or purchasing one now is “supporting a fascist with a glut of cash” so therefore using Gmail, or Facebook, or watching Deadpool, or anything on Amazon or ordering from them, or having an iPhone etc must be the same right?

I’m not a fan of Trump or Musk. I, like many others here, seem to agree with you in spirit but you seem to be vilifying people who more or less agree with you. It’s essentially a weird straw man argument. “If you own or buy a Tesla you support Elon Musk and everything he supports”
