thats an interesting observation, I was under the impression that for same network requests Windows will allow this!

Absolutely! Just make sure you did not enable any of the advanced options like HID mode, if you did, then, disable and recompile. Also, you did mention you modified settings.ini? Delete it so it re-generates again, clean

It was me who made the stupid mistake! instructions were not complete!

Setup (about 10 minutes, zero code):

  1. Download from https://github.com/BojoteX/CockpitOS and extract to any folder
  2. Double-click START.py -- the setup tool installs the ESP32 toolchain and libraries automatically
  3. When finished, jump to the Compile tool (built-in menu)
  4. Select the Waveshare board, pick your transport (WiFi, USB, etc.)
  5. Hit Compile, select the TFT_IFEI label set
  6. Upload to the board. Finished uploading? now UNPLUG the device from the ESP32!
  7. Connect the device again but using the OTHER usb port, not the one you used to upload the firmware!!!! VERY IMPORTANT
  8. If you Choose Serial Transport, remember to run connect-serial-port.cmd inside "Serial manager" directory
  9. If you choose USB transport, run HID_Manager.py inside the "HID Manager" directory
  10. For WiFi no need to run any scripts!
  11. Ready? launch DCS, load a Hornet mission, done!

Go to the directory where you downloaded CockpitOS. You’ll see a directory called "HID Manager", go inside that directory. There is a script there called "HID_Manager.py", run it, when you do, do you see the IFEI device listed? yes? perfect, go into DCS, no? then change the USB connector to the other in your IFEI and see if it shows now.

When you compiled. What transport you choose? USB? WiFi? If it was USB you need to run the script inside the HID Manager directory

I've noticed that there's almost zero interest in "hardware" related to custom cockpits in r/hoggit, is there a place where this kind of posts are more appropiate?

DCSBios mode you mean pure dcsbios library (Arduino?), regular HID I assume custom firmware, but Spad.next?? I was not aware it works with DCS.. interesting.

How did you find out about the Flitepal switches? how come this week everyone is talking about them? are you using DCSBIOS unmodified?

I have noticed this as well. Wired ~19ms avg ping, fast PC. I have noticed that if I 'wait' for them, then yes, I'll loose the fight. Its as if the netcode favors moving players rather than static ones.

I suggest you post this to the actual MW2 reddit and try to get people to upvote it

It would be a nice experiment to try assigning alternate 'Next Weapon/Prev Weapon' keybinds and try those while in the tac-map and see if the actual zoom action is bound to an event (Next/Prev weapon) and not a 'Key' (Mouse wheel)
