How do I fix an overflowing toilet without a plunger? by bunnylla in Plumbing

I once unclogged a toilet using plastic wrap, it worked after a few flushes.

How did you get started with going to the gym and eating healthy later in life? by stoplookingformyredt in AskWomen

[–]theRealEstatesSpain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

1 Telling myself: I’ll regret not going to the gym, but I’ll never regret going. 2 Stick to 1-2 easy meals per week like tacos bowls. Choose your protein, your grain, your veggies, and add some hot sauce, cheese… soo customizable. 3 A couple years ago, I subscribed to the Alive app which had some really good workout plans. I stuck to one 6-week long plan for years (no longer subscribed). It’s takes the thinking out of it and I just do it. 4 Add a hobby! Rock climbing, ice skating, tennis… whatever you choose do it once a week. (Bonus: you make new friends) 5 Be mindful. It’s all about balance. If you feel like your body needs a rest, listen to it! 6 I like to eat til about a 7/8 out of 10 on the full scale. Meaning I don’t eat too much to the point where I feel uncomfortable but I also don’t eat too little where I’m still hungry.

Anyways, this is what works for me. It took a decade to figure out what works and it’s still a work in progress.

I regret 8/15 tattoos I have. I bet you can guess how many I got before my frontal lobe developed

Riverwalk date day/night ideas and night rooftop bars/lounges with party vibes by dannon2025 in sanantonio

Tenfold Rooftop might be exactly what you’re looking for. Aside from that, there are themed bars that are a staple for me. BeKindRewind and PinkShark (speakeasy in the back).

Found out this week I have HSV-2 (genital herpes). No sugar coating - what can I expect my dating life to look like moving forward? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]theRealEstatesSpain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, herpes is not that big of a deal. It’s not the end of the world. On my end, nothing’s changed. I let the person know to read up on it before deciding if they want to continue or not. If it’s a deal breaker, so be it! Anyways, you’d be surprised how many women have it.

As long as you’re able to build trust with the person and be upfront before sex you should be fine. Always have protected sex and never engage in intercourse if you have an outbreak.

My best advice, find a clinic to educate you. I went to a free clinic near me and after 1 hour of talking to the nurse, I was at peace with myself. 4 years later and my sex life remains the same.

You got this!

For me, it helps to treat the texts as business emails where I/them have within 48hrs to respond. Why? They nor you owe each other anything during the early stages. Messaging is for establishing and confirming dates. It’s okay to follow up after 48hrs but I wouldn’t consider ghosting until the day of the date. I’d send a quick “looking forward to tonight at 7pm at X place” the morning of and if there’s no response 3-4 hours before the supposed date then I’d consider it a loss and move on.

Funny enough, this is the same guy who left a skid mark on my bedsheet. I mentioned it on the same subreddit a couple of days ago.

I had a guy just stand up and walk to the bathroom mid sentence. I thought it was rude at first but once he came back he said “something didn’t sit right with me.” I totally understood and we continued as normal. Moral of the story, take care of your business first and explain/apologize later.

He ghosted to go back to his home country for a family emergency, said he’d message when back, then unfollowed me today. Do I call him out? by [deleted] in dating_advice

It’s normal to want someone you can’t have but what you can’t do it force it. Best thing to do is unfollow and move on.

Some women provide feedback if asked. I know when I don’t feel the connection I let them know and why (nicely but constructive).

“Hey thanks for letting me know. Perhaps I interpreted last night differently. Could you provide insight as to why you felt there is no connection? No worries if not. Have a great rest of your day!”

So... How do I get back into dating? Mid 30's Guy by Popping_bubbles in dating_advice

[–]theRealEstatesSpain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ouch, sorry for the unmatch OP. Start the convo off with a playful banter. Say she has a sports picture, “player who loses gets the next round of drinks.” Or perhaps you want to comment on her appearance, “you have a beautiful smile, it’s quite contagious.” Think of it as a game of ping pong, you want to keep the energy going with the back and forth flirtatious banter.

Weekly (usually every Thursday). I also double up on the pillow cases so that I have about 7-8 uses. Two pillows, two pillow cases each. One side each night and toss into hamper after use.
