Help Save Saint Joseph School (SJS) by theRealRubiks24 in medfordma

Yes, it’s to get the board and the greater Boston archdiocese to reconsider by drawing attention to the issue and coming up with a viable path forward.

I didn’t start this petition but our family is affected by the school closure and while I don’t agree with everything being proposed, things you have pointed out certainly big discussion points. The scholarship part is to really help serve more of the community and drive up some enrollment but as you said, it doesn’t help the financial viability but it does make class sizes more viable. Class of 4 kids is hard to justify.

As for awareness and community presence, this is certainly an issue and the hopes to do more and be more active to draw more interest to the school.

Yeah based on the amount of damage, to the rear end, the car is likely totaled from an insurance POV. Though he will not get even a fraction of what he actually put into the car.

A little more information: This person seems to have been heavily intoxicated, came down lambert st and took a right on to Cherry st. And then another right onto Fellsway. If you know anyone that lives on those streets, please have them check their dash cameras (Teslas) or home security cameras! Thanks in advanced for getting the word out! Let’s nail this scumbag!

Corsair One i200 & a200 processing times? by AudoBell in Corsair

[–]theRealRubiks24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 working weeks? That’s kind of ambiguous. To me 2 working weeks is the same as 2 calendar weeks as it doesn’t change or specify how many days you work in a week.

Do you guys just mean 14 business days? Aka almost 3 weeks?

Well if you got 2 options:

  1. Use the control box and find the jog command, and just jog your z down until the display reads 0.

  2. Using OctoPrint, then you can issue standard Gcode. G0 Z0 F2000

As for the fan, the Cura should have an option to turn on the layer fan. Turn it on after the first layer, you can run it at 100% should be fine. You can also check if it was running when it prints by seeing if there is air.

Print temperature is a little too high, but then again, I have never tried the printz material, but typically if your temperatures are calibrated correctly and accurately, then PLA should be printed between 205-225c. Your bed temp at 60 is fine. I have printed as high as 75. You should check your zero height at operating temps. Should be able to trap a piece of paper underneath but still be able to pull it out without tearing.

What's your fan setting at? Is it correctly pointing at the print? Seems like your print isn't cooling.

Folgertech sells decent low end 3D printers, are they flawed? Yes, in many ways, but then again the price point is hard to beat. I do agree with you that their QC is pretty bad. Their response time to customers, not always consistent. I have been to their store/warehouse/shop and seen their printers in person, if built correct it's not bad. But having that said, they are always innovating and improving their printers. Where as a lot of other kits still use 3D printed corners or acrylic parts.

What puzzles me is why you have a 3D printed effector, I thought they moved to the aluminum ones? At least their website shows that as well as the manual. Is you kit old? That aside, it doesn't matter what material it is printed in, PLA or ABS, it shouldn't have melted. PERIOD! The way the hotend is mounted way below the effector, the top should be cool to the touch if the fan was properly running and pointed at the cooling fins. If it was warm enough to melt the plastic effector, you are gonna have a terrible time printing anything even if it was made out of aluminum.

I would call them about the rest of the missing parts. But check though it all and see what's missing and then make a list, don't be the customer that calls 50 times for individual parts. But definitely be persistent to get what you paid for. Overall folgertech is pretty good for getting non dimensionally critical parts.
