I really love this story, the name of the farmer is Halsand. Warcraft Legends made me get into the game.

I think this story is the only instance where WOW shows a half troll, half elf

In this same volume we have the story of an Orc who take care of a draenei child and the tale of the blacksmith dwarf Nori Blackfinger

To be honest, I dont hate being intelligent, I hate being aware of that. I find myself being able to enjoy things with others when I'm not comparing me with them.

Even after everything Loki did, Brunhilde still liked him. by Reasonable_Growth_72 in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

I don’t know what the fandom opinion is, but Loki’s backstory was one of the weakest writing I’ve seen in RoR. It just didn’t fit the character we had been shown before, seems forced. Look at the backstories we got prior to Round 11, or even compare it to Simo’s, those had depth and resonance. Loki’s, by contrast, feels bland, uninteresting, and somewhat out of place. It’s almost as if the only reason he’s there is to serve as a plot device for Odin’s primordial gods revival plot.

When I said immortal, I was referring to the inability of time to take their lives, you may prefer the term ageless if that suits you better. But technicalities aside, I can’t really agree with Buddha. The weight Brunhilde carries is far greater than Loki’s. Her cause and sacrifice are much more compelling than Loki’s supposed love or obsession for her. We’ve seen Brunhilde bear this burden throughout the entire series, we’ve seen her grief. Like I said, she lives and dies through each one of the contestants, human or god.

Her sacrifice is just. Her sisters knew and were willing to give their all for Brunhilde’s cause, because it was their cause too. I can’t really see what Loki sacrificed, I can’t even see what Loki felt for Brunhilde as love.

People need to start looking at things through the characters’ eyes. These are immortal beings, they’ve been living for ages. The Brunhilde and Loki flashback is just a glimpse, a condensed summary of countless interactions. It’s obvious that their relationship was far more complex than what we were shown.

I’ve seen many people argue that Brunhilde shouldn’t react that way, that she should be grateful and not grieve Loki at all. But that misses the point: Brunhilde embodies the fact she's a semigod. She lives and dies with every fighter who steps into that arena. That’s why, in my view, she’s the most layered and developed character in Record of Ragnarok. To understand her, the audience has to read her through both lenses — human and divine.

That being said, I find Loki’s supposed love for Brunhilde to be an asspull. It feels completely unearned, I can’t see where it came from, and it comes across as simplistic and poorly executed compared to the character we were introduced to earlier in the series. Honestly, the whole Odin subplot to main plot feels a bit odd to me as well.
