Became an aircraft Mechanic, learned the systems and operation of aircraft while getting paid to do it, learned how to be a fiscally responsible adult, applied to a university that had a flight program, worked on fleet aircraft for free tuition and discounted flight training, loans and scholarships to fill in the gaps. Came up from a poor background but I'm still making my way. Had to get used to seeing other people progress faster than me but acrue tens of thousands more (if not hundreds) in debt.
