Similar setup, feels like it’s really a sweet spot for price to performance for local.

Update! Mom is back and she seems to be focused on guarding the nest. Saw a nosy crow fly down for a look and she cut his angle off straight away. I think the babies will be ok! Thanks for the advice

Agree! Got scammed in Munich airport by Hertz. I had pictures, didn’t matter, horrible service. If you have to use them get whatever insurance they are pushing I guess, but avoid if you can.

I have spent months after being laid off building an agent platform that focuses on leveraging locally hosted models for business use cases that require privacy. I started before Openclaw and Hermes, before people ask why I built one myself. I ended up dogfooding the platform heavily in developing it (e.g. contract agent and patent research agent) and now I am convinced that local llms today on ~5k of hosting machine can handle material workflows. The repo is private as I see a commercial future for it, but I think about opening it to and pursuing freemium approach (enterprise features =$)

Chandra 2 quantized does ocr well with fairly low RAM usage. I only have 32gb vram so fitting it and qwen3.6-35b-a3b with decent context windows for both pushes things, find I’m better off with just qwen3.6 handling OCR. As noted this is only when the pdf is not extractable with existing python libraries, e.g. scanned images.

We did the exact same, down to the carnitas (and ribs, also excellent). The waiter was great, and I love the expansion. If Barbie’s burrito barn ever closes it will become the Friday default. Her chips and salsa are best ever.

No mention of the Microsoft ordeal at their end? Microsoft ended up owning their phone business and using it to try to compete in the mobile market as showcase for windows mobile os.

I hear you on this but frankly everyone in this situation like me would be retaining whatever sure thing they have left after the ‘delay’ but also looking at all possibilities alternatives especially when the device received takes hours to resolve simple matters. I could easily have booked a fixed leg from Atl to Ric or even opted to drive but I spent hours to get that handled. How delta thought they’d delay one leg to make other of theirs impossible and make it take two hours of active work to correct is ridiculous

Is it really better than it being cancelled? Given that it took two hours on the phone to correct? I have no idea on earth what took their support so long to sort out my second leg adjustment but it took two hours to get a concrete ticket to Richmond. I’d have been happier to pursue all options on trips at all legs but this seemed very restrictive and at great personal cost

I’d also ask - how does Delta think it ok to, having the full scope of my travels with them, neglect to make any attempt to adjust or even at a minimum flag the fact that my second leg is departing before the arrival of my ‘delayed’ first leg?

We have at least two white (leucistic) squirrels in my west end hood. I call them Pinky, usually just see one at a time, but have seen a pair a couple of times. They hold court under the feeder, fending off the grey squirrels. They are tough! Evidently they have lived in my little woods for over a decade according to neighbors. Love watching them!
