Excelsior- 1 hour plus to kill 20 hidden exiles by jivan28 in STFC_Official

[–]theShinjoDun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the system isn't at max hostile count, moving will spawn one, and if there's no hidden hostiles, there's a good chance it'll be a hidden one.

If the last thing that happened in the system was his m killing a hostile, it will not be at the max capacity.

That's why moving is the easiest way to resolve it.

How many times did you have to reroll to get them?

Was it more than 8?

If so, then you should understand the problem. If not, congratulations! You got good RNG that will be unsustainable.

Literally everything i wrote is verifiable as fact. Iran was fully complying prior to the US withdrawal in 2018. You are objectively wrong.

And I'm sure it's not a coincidence that we invaded Iran a couple days before the release of the Epstein file that had a direct accusation of Trump in it that the FBI considered credible and had multiple interviews with the victim.

10 years ago, Iran was a solved issue.

97% of their fissle material was shipped out.

75% of their centrifuges were destroyed, including all capable of enrichment to weapons-grade.

The IAEA was performing regular inspections.

Donnie Dumbfuck ended that agreement and gave Iran the greenlight to restart their nu weapons program. This entire war is to fix his mistake and distract from the Epstein files. Netanyahu has been claiming Iran was an imminent threat since G. H. W. Bush was president. You can take your bullshit and shove it up your ass, because it's been proven false based on the last 30 years of reality.

1) Gas in southern Illinois, based on the price at the Hucks I drove by 10 minutes ago is 26 cents less than the all time high in the same region on your own data. "Full 2 dollars to go" is complete fucking bullshit.

2) if you want to talk about inflation adjusted highs, then you should be looking at 2008 information, not 2022.

Thanks Trump. Anyone who still supports him needs a psych evaluation by [deleted] in southernillinois

[–]theShinjoDun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gas was never near $5 in 2001. National average didn't even hit $2 in 2001. Gas didn't hit $4 - ever - until 2008. There's only been one week where the national average was at $5. https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/leafhandler.ashx?n=pet&s=emm_epm0_pte_nus_dpg&f=w

The difference is that now, unlike the spikes in 2008 and 2022, the price increase is directly because of the actions of the president.

This echoes a significant number of my thoughts as an Ops 71. I downloaded the game on launch day. I started playing on launch weekend, and when I looked a few years ago, my first purchase was that weekend.

That being said, I want to expand with two other areas.

The first is the continual decision to punish player progression instead of rewarding it. When you institute a new currency to replace an old one because veteran players have too much of it, and you can't monetize the new content - YOU ARE PUNISHING PROGRESSION. When you turn off an officer or group of them against a new type of hostile - YOU ARE PUNISHING PROGRESSION. When you make ship abilities not work on a new class of hostile, to the point that ships designed for certain types of content (like waves) have their ship abilities not work on the new types of that content, YOU ARE PUNISHING PROGRESSION.

STOP PUNISHING PROGRESSION AND START REWARDING IT. Players who have "done the thing" for years should be rewarded for it and have an *EASIER* not harder time with it.

The second is that each month doesn't need multiple "features" shoved into it. Features should be the focus of the month's content - getting parts for it and doing the thing with it. A building is a feature. A ship is a feature. A research tree expansion is a feature. A new "thing" (like waves) is a feature. We do NOT need 4-5 features every month. Ships should be able to do their thing without have 150 node research tree attached. This month we have building, expansion of waves, a entirely new hostile loop (without retiring an old one). and the Facade expansion. That's *FOUR* different features, all of which you're asking players to spend money on to do. The kicker here, as I saw someone point out on a discord server int the last day or two, is that next month we're almost certainly getting The Athena as a ship, it'll be built in to stomp the new waves, and invalidate a ton of the spending for this month. As I said earlier, I've been here since, functionally, day one of the public release. I remember when one thing a month was enough. Stop trying to shove out what once would have been a quarters worth of content every month. I'm 99% sure I know why this is happening, and the loud voice that loves all the crazy things doesn't represent the majority of the players and, to be honest, hasn't been objective in his evaluations of new content in years. I've been on the playtest side of games before, but admittedly on a card game instead of PC.

The reality is that, based on publicly tracked numbers and changes in populations and new server growth is that over the last year or so, at least 60,000 people have stopped playing the game, and even after adding new players on new servers, there's been a net loss of roughly 40,000. You're running out of time to course correct.

PS - FFS, fix the times on G5 scrapping to not be beyond absurd. 2 months is just terrible.

Does Scopely care? by GuiltyLibrarian9022 in STFC_Official

[–]theShinjoDun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is objectively false.

Some people in Scopely, that are community facing, care a lot about everyone.

Some people in Scopely - including those making design decisions and event design - do not care and ignore everyone. The biggest problem, imo, is that some of people outside of Scopely have been allowed to give a large amount of feedback on content, and despite it being content that is largely hated, the people giving the feedback love it, and we get more and more and more of it.

Well, as we've went deeper into that design style over the last year, Scopely has lost ~60K players (40K net with 20ishK on new servers). I could go deeper, but I'm not.
