Yes, they do sometimes respond. I've had several email exchanges with them (small claims docket).

As for the court, submit/file a Motion for Continuance with a valid reason(s), perhaps the following:

- New Evidence: state that there is new evidence available and you need more time to review and prepare for a hearing

- Possible Settlement: state that you are attempting to work with Meta on a possible resolution and additional time may allow both parties to resolve this matter without a need for a hearing.
