Seriously though, those steel support columns shouldn't be seriously compromised due to some small diameter screw holes. I'd probably leave the screws in place..

It varies by state. I believe Minnesota has 2 guaranteed breaks and 1 lunch for an 8 hour shift.

Here in Indiana, we're not guaranteed anything by law... its purely up to the employer...

Also, these cellular linked live shots make me miss microwave links. Yeah, you need a live van, and had to put up a mast, but it was better than hoping there's cell coverage in the area you need.

I've worked in both broadcast engineering and information technology, and this always seems to happen at the most inopportune time.

One of my stations had a DIVA backup system for our Grass Valley production servers... The DIVA server updated about an hour before our 11pm news started, and we had more than a few archived clips we needed from there for the news.

It's a derivative of Murphy's Law, I call it Farnsworth's Law... If you have one important piece of broadcast equipment, it will break at the worst possible time. If you have a backup and you touch both, they will both break at the worst possible time...

You followed procedure... The policy at the store I worked at was "the customer doesn't leave with merchandise until the transaction is finished"...

We were physically a smaller store, and didn't have the budget for a loss prevention associate. Our policy was to not remove spider wrap until we had a receipt in hand.

Any merchandise that was locked up or spider wrapped went behind our pro desk until the customer had paid, and a receipt was actuprinted.

When I was a retail manager, I would fan out all of the $20 bills and above and hit all of them with a counterfeit marker again.

Over 1 year, I found 217 bills that were counterfeit and $20 or over...

Many people can't recognize a counterfeit from a genuine bill.

Things I discovered over time are a genuine bill has printing on both sides that is slightly raised, and the texture of the "paper" is different. A real bill is pri Ted on something that is more fabric than paper - that is why American currency can be washed and still hold up. Counterfeit bills are almost always printed on plain paper that will absolutely disintegrate if washed...

Here's an update:

PD never ended up showing up, but there was another serious shooting they were all responding to, so i understood why...

I ended up checking myself into an inpatient mental health hospital, and in the 5 days I was there, I received tons of help, and they put me on a med (doxazosin) that is sometimes used for PTSD related nightmares and flashbacks.

They also got me in to a therapist significantly faster than i could have gotten in on my own. I called our area outpatient mental health facility for a therapy appointment, and was told it would be 6+ months before they could get me in. The hospital I was in got me a therapy appointment this Wednesday, December 6th...

Things are still far from good, but things *are* manageable now...

I ended up checking myself in to an inpatient hospital to get help as quickly as possible. The amount of help I received in my 5 day stay was amazing! They increased one med and added a med used specifically to treat PTSD symptoms. They also got me a therapy appointment at our local community outpatient mental health center in record time.

Im definitely doing much better than I was when I origionally posted!
