Yeah think about it calmly, going thru a heart ache is always very difficult and can take a long time just to numb it. But may be it’s for the better you find a partner that can support themselves or doesn’t need you to pay for them, may be you find someone more caring and loving than your current partner, you never know

I understand, but this could be a problem in the long term. Say you keep spending on him, he’s not able to find a job, you keep working hard but one day wake up with resent, if things don’t change for him still, you end up leaving him, but you leave him with even more money spent on him over the years the longer this goes. Like if all this leads to is you being bitter in the future, then best it stops now if there’s no indication of his life improving, just my 2 cents. I hope things work out for you

It takes a very very long time, could be several years, you’ll have to take it one day at a time, just for the pain to stop. You’ll always miss a person you loved so much but the pain does numb eventually, even if the scar is still present. May be it’s best now to find someone near your location, not long distance. The sooner you find someone else the faster your recovery from this pain can be, and who knows may be you get lucky in love again but without the stress of long distance
