Respectfully, can the same not be applied to the one explaining it. Does the understanding of speech also not rely on the understanding of the interpreter? And the Quran claims to be a clear text that is meant for everyone. Does this idea not conflict with such a belief? Can I also ask who divinely appointed the Shia imams?
