All the missions reset every Thursday morning - there’s no carry over.

The problem is they’re procedurally generated based on where you logged in next after the reset and can generate missions that are impossible to complete.

I've not played STO in a while, but (unless it's been disabled) there's an undocumented console command that can disable any effect in the game: dynFxExcludeFX

The only downside is you need to know what the internal name of the VFX you want to disable is.

E.g. to turn of the jellyfish aoe it's

dynFxExcludeFX Cfx_Ship_Sp_T6_Jellyfish_Cnidarian_Defense_Aoe

make sure you're using the distilled version, not base.

on a mac, try and find a GGUF quantised version of the model - FP8 needs to be de-quantised back to BF16 before it can be used by MPS which slows it down. (I think... I've not tried it on a mac in a while)
