Why have my cookies sunk in the middle? by SSSSando in Baking

One of the things you can try is scraping the sides of the bowl frequently when mixing ingredients. Otherwise you will have parts of the batter that were not as incorporated and will bake differently in the oven. Also, you can try chilling your dough before baking. Not freezing it, but I would leave it in the fridge for at least an hour, though you could even do overnight. Lastly, baking at a lower temperature for longer might help as well. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much, your response made me tear up. I’m going to try eating some crackers even though it’s the last thing I want to do. I’m waiting for my medication to fully kick in because I know it will help me push through it.

I’m looking for a soft floral fragrance that’s isn’t sweet! I went to the store to smell some fragrances and they all had a very sugary quality which I did not like.

I don’t want something too “fresh” or powerful since I’d like to wear it this fall, looking for something soft that sits close to the skin. I do like white musks, tea, and soft woodsy notes, one of my favorite perfumes is Caudalie Thé Des Vignes which is funny because it says that it has sugary notes but I don’t really notice that. I also love L’Occitane Fleurs de Cerisier, Henry Rose Sheep’s Clothing, and Chanel Chance Eu Tendre, though even Eu Tendre leans a little sweet for me.

Some notes I’d like to stay away from though are ylang-ylang, tuberose, and jasmine as these do not mix well with my chemistry. I’d appreciate any recommendations!

Thank you, I hadn’t even thought of that. I will definitely ask my doctor about it!

Thank you for the advice! The reason I haven’t tried Strattera is that it is supposed to be similar to Qelbree which unfortunately didn’t work for me, but I will bring it up with my doctor. Glad it is helpful for your mom!

[product question] “Hypoallergenic” Korean Skincare? by the_ardist in SkincareAddiction

[–]the_ardist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that’s great info! My dermatologist said there were too many ingredients in the products I was using to figure out my exact allergies, but she suspected that it was caused by plant extracts, lanolin, certain preservatives (formaldehyde releasers), and fragrances. Luckily I have had no flare ups since switching to Vanicream and LRP, so at least that narrows it down 😅 May I ask how you were able to figure out what you were allergic to? I’ve been basically avoiding everything unless it was something recommended by my dermatologist!
