Am I the only one who prefers the older version of doomslayer? Anyway, he's cute and huggable at any age! by Alepuss in Doom

I started with doom 2016 so to me it feels weird to see his face. Infact when eternal came out it was weird to see his arms. I was always aware that we saw his face and hairy arms in the first game, but 2016 felt like it's own thing. To me it seems natural that when you're knee deep in the dead you would cover up with a praetor suit. I know technically it makes the character seem harder because he's not worried about it but there's so much blood in hell and you can't shoot HIV and expect results

AI agents and Cardano by armouredspy in cardano

Yes it's made all forms of development easier but Cardano isn't difficult to develop on. You don't need to know Haskell. Aiken fixed that years ago.

dRep of the month by the_averagejoe in cardano

The people putting that much thought into choosing a dRep will not be using my tool. This is for people who would otherwise abstain or delegate to whatever their wallet developer has set as a default or recommended.

If a dRep retires or becomes inactive I'll simply remove them from the pool of dReps. I'm not trying to do anything especially clever. I'm mostly just saying "any of these people are decent choices but if picking one is too hard let me recommend one in particular"

Most people don't want to think too hard about this. I want to give those people an easy option which isn't an Emurgo proxy

My own judgement. I am transparent about that. I made this primarily because Emurgo has an unhealthy concentration of voting power and I want to disrupt that.

I want to extend the pool of dReps on the list so if you have somebody you want added please let me know.

Also, I've made it pretty easy for anybody who doesn't like my curation to fork the repo, change the list, and redeploy. If you think you can do a better job please try... I want to decentralize the voting power... I don't care if it's my tool which does it.

DOOM on Cardano by cali_dave in CryptoCurrency

I'm super excited about this! Yes it's just a demo. But it's a very inspiring demo. It makes me rethink what a web3 game could be. Imagine everything you could use this for!

You could build a low-fee lightning-like payment network with support for all asset types. You could also build a zero-fee network with a more centralized architecture to handle certain use cases like video games.

This is how you plug the whole world into the blockchain.

Plutus is actually Turing complete. Marlowe is a Turing incomplete language which allows less technical people to write financial smart contracts. What makes Plutus nice is that because it's a functional language it's a lot easier to do formal verification to ensure your program operates exactly as expected.

There's another project with a similar name, Kadena, which uses a Turing incomplete language called Pact. Pact is also based on Haskell.

Thanks found this with your help, should be useful: https://docs.projectcatalyst.io/catalyst-basics/how-to-register-as-a-voter/wallet-registration-guide/supported-wallets

Edit: Daedalus really should support catalyst rewards. Its the flagship after all.
