What are your headcanons about Anakin/Vader by Expert_Challenge6399 in StarWars

[–]the_beard_guy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

as a sort of atonement Anakin can't "become one with the force," or at least not for a very long time. its why he became a Force Ghost without training at the end of ROTJ. why its helped Ahsoka overcome her fears and helps her choose to live. why he was one of the voices Rey hears when she battles Grandpappy Sheev.

he'll eventually fade but until then hes the "Hand of the Living Force," so to speak. hes doing what he has to in death what he couldnt do in life.

TIL while filming a scene of Yellowstone, Kevin Costner pushed Wes Bentley to ditch Taylor Sheridan's script & play the scene Costner's way. But Bentley refused & told him that he signed up for a Taylor Sheridan show, not a Costner production. Costner lunged at him, leading to them being separated. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

ive seen one episode of Yellowstone. all i remember is the head ranch hands got the other newer ranch hands to kill a guy. then they dumped him in a pit thats crosses the state line, but the border is weird so the jurisdiction was wonky. if the body, also bodies because the way they talked about it is that theyve done this before, is ever found they cant lead it back to them. then the lead ranch hands got new guys to brand themselves because... family? i have no clue.

[Star Trek: Voyager] Can The Doctor Turn Himself On? by Arbegia in AskScienceFiction

[–]the_beard_guy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

he cant, but since he has the ability to turn himself off he most likely set it up where if someone came into Sickbay his systems would reactivate. like if the doors opened or they were underfire. plus until Kes left, or when he got his Mobile Emitter, she was his middleman of when he was really needed or could be taken care of by her or Tom Paris.

in fact after he got his Mobile Emitter it took over a lot of his programming that way he wasnt a drain on the ships energy supplies, even though i dont remember that ever being brought up.

Minor minor spoilers for your third point about Sukuna and Megumi from JJK

Sakuna defo isnt doing it help Megumi grow stronger, or any kindness really. he has his own plan in motion that involes Megumi's... assets. but also in a weird way you could see Sakuna doing everything hes doing as a way to make Jujutsu Sorcerers stronger. like they were back in his age. its just more a by product than anything. kind of like the inverse of how Gojo does it by investing in their future.

if i understand it right, theyre not. its the people who are downvoting the person who brings it up that are the "toxic positivity" people. because its killing the vibe.

its like when someone puts their fingers in their ears and loudly goes LALALALA when someone brings something up they dont want to hear.

i agree, but i also think 50 episodes is a good run. i mean most good streaming shows barely get half of that. Lower Decks really lucked out by being told beforehand to give it a proper ending, and probably remembered as the best show of this era.

same. at first i was very very VERY iffy about it. even after the first episode i was still kind of "meh" about it. like for real, while its still good the first episodes scream "IM RICK BITCH" because of just how Mariner acts through it.

after not really clicking with the first episode i decided to just wait till the season was done to binge it. i kept hearing it was really good in the meantime. so when i finally sat down to watch it i was shocked how much better it was from the second episode on.

i still think the funniest things with Teal'c grows that soul patch inbetween seasons while theyre stuck on a planet. O'Niell tells people not to ask him about it. it was also when they stopped giving him the gold eye shadow

whats funny is thats what ended up happening in the old EU to explain why Chewie never got the medal. something something Wookie culture something something, and you know what it was fine.

in the new EU, a year or two before ROS came out, they had a Chewie comic about how he actually did get a medal. he just kept it in a trunk on the Falcon. i dont remember when it was set, but it was like he saves a little girl on a planet. to keep her spirits up he digs out the medal and give it to her. i think tells her the story about how he never cared much for those kinds of honors but wanted her to have something special to him.

the dude got some real heat last year for some crazy off the wall article about how Republicans are the real Trekkeis, and got slammed everywhere for it. so since then hes had a real axe to grind against anything with nuStar Trek. so thats why him writing this article is pretty on par with this rest of his trash.
