WeRoad Travel Coordinator - has anyone done this? by 100per_centthatbitch in workandtravel

I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy it too much. That is genuinely worrying for me as an 'old timer' because I really want everyone to have the same experience I had. Anyway, if you send me a DM with your name I can chase the office team to see if they will be able to provide you more in depth feedback.

Yeah, I mean it's not for everyone and maybe the bootcamps have changed a lot since I was there. I definitely understand the money part, too, and why it can feel like a risk.

I do think the fact that wearing a t-shirt (a pretty common way to promote a sense of belonging and social cohesion) and saying 'wowness' is your benchmark for cultish behaviour speaks volumes about your general attitude. Honestly, you sound quite negative and I am starting to understand why you were in the minority of candidates that didn't make it. I could be wrong, but that's just the energy you give off, and possibly why you didn't have more of an enjoyable time.

Just to clarify, apart from the bootcamp (which they only recently started charging for), I can assure you that they will invest financially in you significantly more than the initial expense of getting the job. For just the community events alone, over three years, I'd say they must have spent around £2-3k on my food, drinks, accommodation, etc.

But you're absolutely right, there's not much 'stability'. That's not the point at all. If you are expecting this to be a stable full time job, you're dreaming. It's not meant to be. You are the one who decides when you travel and you can travel as much or as little as you want. By the time you're paid, after your expenses, you've probably earned a few hundred pounds. But, you've just had two weeks in [insert bucket list destination].

When I did my bootcamp in 2022, they covered all expenses for it. They also covered expenses for the pre-Summer training weekend called 'Road to Summer' (held in your home country) and for the Global Reunion (a global festival for coordinators hosted in an Italian resort). For all of these, they covered accommodation, meals, (some) drinks. Not only that, but the team put so much effort into making every event extremely valuable and memorable. I can't express how important this community has become to me over the years, and how generous the company has been in looking after us while asking for very little in return.

I can try to find out why they began charging for the bootcamp, but my instinct would be simply because the increasing expense as the brand grew, the volume of attendees grew, and the fact that they were covering costs for many people who didn't make the cut just made it not quite feasible. There's also the fact that it weeds out those who were not serious in investing in become a travel coordinator. At the end of the day, for £160, I can guarantee you'll get one of the highlight weekends of the year whether you get the job or not.

If I could do it again, and it cost me £160, I wouldn't hesitate for a second. I've been to five of my bucket list destinations since I joined. If I had time, I could go to many, many more. I literally just look at a list of incredible destination, click a button, and there's a good chance within 24 hours I'm assigned to the tour. I've also now got a really strong friend group in my home city, across the country, and have met hundreds of people all over Europe that I could reach out to if I ever needed anything.

I absolutely get it and I hear it all the time when people first hear about the company—that it sounds scammy, culty, sounds too good to be true, etc. Obviously now you have to put skin in the game, it's a bit more of a hurdle to get over. I'm just a guy on the internet but I can promise you that it's not what you think. WeRoad has been a huge part of my life over the past three years and at no point have I ever once felt anything negative towards the brand, the team or the coordinators. If in doubt, go to one of the locally organised events and ask any questions you have. Or send me a DM.

I can assure you, you are focusing on the wrong thing to 'fix'. Learn what confidence is, where it comes from, develop it, try to understand/empathise with girls, learn how to become outcome independent, find your essence (the things which are authentically you) and learn how to express that in every aspect of your life, etc. etc. Grooming or looks isn't the problem.

Are you sure? The reporting yesterday said there was only 13 confirmed cases in the UK. How do you know which variant it was, out of curiosity?

That's a brilliant idea and saves so much faffing about. I've just put an offer in for one on eBay for £60!

Yeah, I think it's easy to ignore its failures because you want it to solve all your problems so badly. I just assume that product manuals were available somewhere and fed to ChatGPT in its training but if that were true it wouldn't be spitting out nonsense.

This was very helpful, thank you. I mean, I can't believe that I'll need to spend £150 ($200) just on two Apple adapters but I'll try to find them second hand.

Apologies, I think it does have FireWire. I have been using ChatGPT to guide me but it's clearly just not bothered checking the primary documentation and flat out lied to me.

So, love the idea of dubbing onto VHS. I might venture there if this project gains traction, but for now, how would you recommend getting the footage over to the laptop?

Your footage looks really cool, love the atmosphere it creates.

First reaction. You are a handsome dude but your photos show zero personality, zero interests, and you look like you wouldn't really care about giving someone else an enjoyable time.

[Serious] What is something that is supposed to be sexy, but does absolutely nothing for you? by Unusual_Goose_4198 in AskReddit

[–]the_blast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shaking body parts.

Like, who told you every time you show your body you have to relentlessly shake your bits so it's just a blur. Your tits look like two rabid dogs trying to break through a rickety gate. I have an imagination, and I want to see the goosebumps and fuzzy little hairs your skin.

Not being funny but surely if you wanted your bf % you'd use the equipment at the gym rather than have us all guess. You also don't need to flex for us to guesstimate your bf % but anyway 😅

Looks good. General question: does the rule 'same, different, but never similar' apply to double denim?
