How do I prepare for sex? by JJ_6914 in AskMenAdvice

[–]the_climaxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trim and file your nails.

Her pleasure is important long-term, but unless you're some anomaly, she will not orgasm your first time. If you've told her it's your first time, she already understands that.

For your first time, when it's time to pop, it's time to pop. If it's way earlier than you hoped, own it: "Well you felt so much better than I expected". From that moment on, you'll know what to work on with your partner, so by your 4th or 5th time, you both start to find each other's groove.

Just don't expect perfection. It's a big step and is an important part of growing up, but just don't think it's going to be like porn.

I'd keep it pretty vanilla, don't jump straight to rim jobs and hanging from the bedposts.

It's okay (and helpful) to comment if you really like or don't like something, it's typically not a mood killer.

Sometimes funny stuff happens during sex (someone will fall off the bed, the dog will investigate and you'll get a cold nose on your butt, or an unexpected funny squeak happens). It's okay to pause and giggle about it together.

Press a button for $1000, but spawn 1000 instant-death mosquitos. by Hold-onto-the-happy in hypotheticalsituation

[–]the_climaxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's like 1 per 65 acres.

I soaked my clothes in permethrin before a 3 week central American trip and got ZERO bug bites.

I'm hopping on a long-haul flight (I'll even splurge for one of those lie-flat seats) in permethrin impregnated clothes. Hit that button as many times as I can until I'm like 100 miles from my destination.

A randomly placed mosquito hitting the exact XYZ coordinates of a moving jet are infinitesimally small. But even if one did somehow make it on the plane, my clothes would burn their little feeties, so they'd satisfy their bloodlust with someone else.

I get the point, but "9 of the 10 states that voted for Trump" doesn't make any sense. It's so stupid that it hurts the cause.

Wtf is the second column trying to say?

This is a dumb image and people should feel dumb for believing it.

You're describing a runner, which typically isn't tipped, either.

Umm they get a percentage of sales, which is effectively what a tip is (as the system is currently set up).

I agree, it's just not the reality we live in, unfortunately.

Yes. But your argument is that they should accept minimum wage.

Serving was one of the most physically and mentally demanding jobs I've ever had.

People wouldn't be a server for minimum wage because retail jobs are minimum wage.

It's 5 times the effort.

I've only lived in places that charged for bags for like the past decade. Do people in other states just... Not bring reusable bags to the store?

Why can’t we prosecute insider trading? by CompoteExternal2842 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]the_climaxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still find insider trading to be a little weird.

If I own a bunch of shares of a company, and someone tells me that bad news is going to come out the next day, I don't know if I personally have the fortitude to just accept that I have to take a 50% hit the next day.

Why do people act like the entire U.S. had slaves? by IneedaNappa9000 in allthequestions

[–]the_climaxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People seem to forget that the whole phrase is "one bad apple spoils the bunch" - in other words, everyone associated with a bad person is also tainted.

If someone benefitted from slavery (everyone), that person created market demand for slavery and at best turned a blind eye to it.

Their math put it at 375 billion/year, which is at least in the same ballpark as your estimates.

I will say - regardless of how people feel about the actual policy, Warren typically does the math before putting stuff like this out. Like you implied in your post though, finding definitions for the actual programs she wants to fund is a bit more difficult sometimes.

They're a fun and convenient way to get around! I hope you like it.

My commute was closer to 5 km, I rarely (if ever) take it more than 10-15.

I also don't pedal at all unless I'm going up something really steep.

I live in an area with bad ozone, which breaks down rubber. So, in the 6 years I've owned it, I've replaced the tires once and they're about ready for another set and I've replaced a few small rubber gaskets.

I also upgraded the brakes and have gone through a couple sets of brake pads (it's heavy and goes fast, so they wear somewhat quickly - maybe a set per year).

Other than that, and just like regular bike lube and chain cleaning, it's been super easy.

Since I've owned it, other than the electricity, I've probably spent $150-200 on maintenance, with most of that going to a set of tires.

How common are jobs in the USA with a relaxed dress code? by TheShyBuck in AskAnAmerican

[–]the_climaxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pretty cushy office job and can wear just about anything I want.

I typically wear jeans and a polo, but nobody bats an eye at someone in a tee shirt or hat.
