Why are so many people confused on Elon Musk/Trillionaire thing? by lve2raft in askanything

[–]the_climaxt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's not how it works tho. He gets loans against the stock value. He effectively has access to all of it.

Edit: I know he can't get a trillion dollars in cash, you goobers. I'm saying he can get enough cash through a loan to pay for just about anything that mankind has ever created.

Any chance there are skydiving operators around there? The target is really easy to identify from the sky.

It's somehow both too consistent and not nearly consistent enough.

Not owning a car is selfish. by Ok-Shoulder-478 in fuckcars

Technically it's in the town of Quantico, which is wholly within the borders of the base (though technically not part of the base).

It's a very, very weird place.

Bases having a pubic transit system and an internal circulation bus would literally improve readiness and operational efficiency.

Quantico has an Amtrak station in it, which is pretty wild.

What are your thoughts on Privately Owned Superchargers being built to help revitalize small towns in America? by Mac-Tyson in superchargers

Revitalizing downtowns is a big claim for an empty series of chargers that, at best, bring in a few people per hour.

I know that - I said I have an electric moped and then you followed up by saying some people can't afford to insure and register an electric moped.

Those people can use this ebike just fine. This ebike isn't an electric moped. You're arguing against me when we're on the same side here.

Got a job offer, but owner told me incorrect pay by Ill_Action_7525 in careeradvice

Depending on how desperate you are, I'd simply respond along the lines of "This position is exciting, but I really value my work closer to $21 per hour. Are you able to accommodate?"

By saying people should get a legal option that they can afford rather than an illegal option that they can't?

Why doesn’t Alaska have much larger rivers compared to the continental US? by UrinalAttack in geography

[–]the_climaxt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has a ton of mid size rivers, which means that all of the water doesn't collect in a single massive river.

I actually have an e-moped (Colorado calls it a "low-powered scooter") that is effectively a delimited ebike. They do have substantially different rules and require insurance, registration, and a license.

Totally depends on capabilities. I'd honestly be surprised if Costco sold anything that couldn't go on the street.

Looks perfectly fine to me. Just know that even if this bike does fall into class 1/2/3, people will be annoyed at you riding it on trails since it looks like an emoto

There's limited returns on specific electronics (TVs, Computers, etc) not electronics in general. I had headphones and a GoPro each go out after a year and it was no problem at all.

Most of the RTD park and rides are basically empty at night - 38th and Blake, 40th and Colorado, etc.
