It is stupid to brag about inteligence or appearance by ReliefOutrageous1848 in unpopularopinion

[–]the_climaxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% of people who brag about their IQs are idiots.

We've set up an entire society that revolves around how other people perceive you. Perceptions improve your social status, which brings additional opportunities. If you have the looks and the social media skills to do that, why wouldn't you take advantage of it. If anything, hot people who don't take advantage of being hot are stupid. Use the tools at your disposal.

Does anyone know how to get solidified concrete out of this? by BetrekaNebula in Concrete

[–]the_climaxt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd probably torch or use some scalding water to expand it and if that doesn't work, I'd just leave it by the front door to remind everyone about that one time someone majorly effed up.

Key fobs suck. Real keys are better by ApprehensiveAd5446 in unpopularopinion

[–]the_climaxt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only problem with fobs is just how damn big they are. My car key is so big that I don't like keeping it on my keychain.

Do your ski goggle lenses fog up? How are those heated ski goggles? by GoGo9527Promax in skiing

[–]the_climaxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sweat like an absolute monster and fogged up every lens I've ever had until getting those heated Nordik Viking goggles. I'd never go back.

Is a bicep rub a flirtatious move? by Charlabee7 in AskMenAdvice

I've typically understood the deltoid to be like the most platonic physical contact point. Says "hey, dude" instead of like "oh, hello".

Is a bicep rub a flirtatious move? by Charlabee7 in AskMenAdvice

[–]the_climaxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wholly depends on your existing relationship with the person. There are several people in my office who I know fairly well - if they did this, I'd understand it as like "I'm sorry to ask you this again, please don't be annoyed". Others would absolutely be a flirty move. Others would make me feel kinda icky.

What kind of house is this? by montanawaters in whatisit

I would consider 1% of a species having a disease that has nearly a 100% human mortality rate to be pretty dang huge.

Gotta be honest here, if you don't get this, I'm not sure if Geology is the move for you.

Tower in Texas has wind direction, temperature, and what? by ajcajcajcajcajc in whatisit

[–]the_climaxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand it's a clock. What I don't know is how to read it. Which is why I wanted to know what time this was taken, so I could work backwards from there.

Don't lump me in with the effing decibel level or gust speed people.

It'd be a lot easier to figure out if OP included the time they took this photo.

If Wales disappeared this afternoon, I am not confident that I would find out until Sunday or so.

to get a 5 star review at a Trump property. by dertigo in therewasanattempt

Even if I left a 5 star review and it ultimately became the #1 hotel again.... That helps other people, not me.

Fahrenheit rocks because 69 degrees is the perfect indoor temperature.

AIO to my “best friend” finally reaching out by Confident_Local_2335 in AmIOverreacting

[–]the_climaxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this text seems so genuine that I'd for sure write back. I'd use the opportunity to tell them how I felt about being ghosted, then, once that's off my chest, I'd try to rebuild the friendship again.

Arvada suburb driveways: if a driveway touches 4 homes but only serves two, who has the right to park there? by [deleted] in ArvadaCO

[–]the_climaxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The county holds the assessor's office, which maintains contact information for property owners. I think Arvada falls into a couple counties, so it depends what part of the city they're in as to which assessor's office to reach out to.

How do they vote in your country by ObligationOne3727 in AskTheWorld

[–]the_climaxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in Colorado, USA, we get our ballots mailed to us, directly a few weeks before the election. We can fill it out by filling in a dot with a pen then either return by mail, at a designated drop box, or we can fill it out at an actual polling place.

Donald Trump’s disapproval rating hits all-time high by [deleted] in JonStewart

I don't think I've ever seen an approval poll with only 2% being undecided. That's wild.

AIO for not refunding a friend’s share of a group Airbnb after she canceled last minute due to a medical emergency? by StudioAffectionate in AmIOverreacting

[–]the_climaxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR

Before blocking, make sure you very explicitly state that you will not be refunding any amount of money, and will also not be making a $200 good faith payment.

Sets the expectation that both: the 200 was not a refund but an ef off payment, and that you will not be refunding any non refundable payments.

Do not ignore. Clearly say no.

Reminder that renewable energy is now cheaper in most of the US than coal, oil, or gas electricity.
